Great - thanks, everyone - very helpful

I'll have it look like this, except cut to right above the knee 9pic courtesy of Flusser's Tumblr). Cloth will be a mid-brown tweed with a very faint purple overcheck.

Exactly.

I have a length of some crazy Lesser 14 ounce mohair blend in a fresco weave-- it's gorgeous cloth but among the most impractical I've ever bought.

Similarly, the Finnmeresco and Brisa are too heavy too.

I still have a piece of Finnmeresco not being made up as it is impractical.

And I was strolling down the streets of NYC in November with Dugdale NFW in 8/9 oz.

The Brisa and the linens I knew would never work for me. But some of the flannels I think would. Have not tried any but I like his navy chalk.

Can somebody enlighten me as to what "Brisa" is? Typed in Brisa fabric into le Google, and that's what I got.

A cloth put out by thelondonlounge.net. Limited editions by subscription.

Sort of a midweight Fresco. Not a pure summer cloth unless you are in a breezy place, but very useful if you have to deal with warm conference rooms or if you heat up while walking.

Stay off that site you will end up buying fabrics you don't need. A non traveling tailor will carry a vast majority of fabric books that are just as good.
