D, I have a blazersuit in the 0518 and I wear the jacket separately all the time. Did on Tues. One of my favorite jackets. I also have 0520. Don't have 0516, but I have a similar dark navy Smiths finmeresco, and I get a lot of use from all three.

I'd get the dark brown if I were you. Would go well w/ your complexion imo. And it looks great w/ light gray or off-white pants and shirts in solid white or blue and blue or red checks/stripes. It even pairs well w/ gray or worn blue jeans.

Then I'd get a dark navy blazer suit. It'd be ideal to have blazersuits in all three, but if you won't wear suits often, as I don't, and only wanted a suit in one of the three, dark navy would be best imho.

I'd be happy to organize it, but won't be able to for at least another month. Just really busy right now. From memory, I think we were something like 15 or 20m short, but I have to check my notes again. It's been a while.

Perhaps I can hit up this board again in a month, when I can really put in the work to organize something. We'll make one hard effort for a push, and hopefully reach enough orders.

Sorry about the Multi Quotes and not knowing how to create a Spoiler - Just inserted into a Spoiler - I love the data on Frescos & Summer Suit fabrics and my mind gets boggled by it. Let's see if I can get it organized.

PS - Where could I make a Wiki (that people/ the experts can help update and make accurate) ? On the Forum or Off-site somewhere?
What are you guys referring to? The long series of quotes?
Yes, annoying. He should at least put in a spoiler.

Do not be discouraged. Make a wiki.

Alright. Looking forward to it.

It seems like the previous attempt was short of just a little bit. Just a few more subscribers or a minimum subscription of 5m should solve that pretty easily.

Til then I'ma get back to lurkin. :foo:

For anyone who chooses to reorganize, I'm happy to put you in touch with the guys at Minnis directly. Good luck!

I have 3.5 meters of the tobacco brown fresco available, pm if interested. I'm going to be traveling for the next couple of days but I will get back to you.

Is the plan to have an exact rerun of the tobacco fresco or change it slightly like Derek suggested?

I would love to have tobacco fresco vol.2. However, I believe a brown herringbone will look even better and cooler than plain tobacco.

Yea, Steed had something, but I don't remember what book or fabric number it was. It was flannel though, as I originally sought.

It's a bit darker than what I was hoping for, but still nice. Howard Yount had a great fawn flannel last year. I heard they'll restock (they may have already). I was hoping for something like that, but didn't see anything.

It's a really great color for flannel pants, IMO. Up there with mid-grey even.

I agree. I like the idea of a suit in that color too. The ones Matthew sent me seemed a tad darker than what I was hoping for. I'm looking for something like in this photo on Vox's blog:

Maybe that would be more accurately called "sand" than "fawn".

Also, I'm considering getting a (probably ne'er to be worn) buff waistcoat for my Tonik blue suit. Any suggestions welcome.

Thanks, emptym. I guess the swatch is still coming to me, so I'll try to look at it with my optimistic eyes. Appreciate the feedback.

FWIW, Steed calls the fabric I selected "donkey flannel." I've never seen a fawn or donkey in real life, but from Google Images, both seem significantly darker than these fabrics ...

I like this color

I think you may have some trouble getting minnis to do patterned fresco, I attempted to do that last year with a POW and a grey nailhead fresco, minnis just strung me around until they finally said they would require a gigantic order, commercial size. If you want to avoid all headaches I would tell Minnis to run the exact same cloth

^that is nice, do you know what that is?

Those are from Howard Yount, but I don't know where he got the fabric from. Maybe he'd be willing to share the info? If you find out, let me know.

The pants are sold out on his site, but last I talked to him in June-ish, he said he would restock this fall.

Check out VBC. I saw the HY cream flannel cloth in a VBC book so it might be a good place to start.
