Which fabric did you get and what are you having made, ET?

I got the navy hemp / wool from Delfino. Having that made as a summer coat - 2 flapped-patch pockets with a regular patch breast. Buggy-lined.

Cloth looked beautiful, and I'm hopeful that it turns out to be a more versatile cousin of linen.

For those of you unfamiliar with Del Fino, it is a very fine Italian merchant (owned by the Marzotto family) - many of the horribly expensive Carnet-labelled cloths sold by Jodek are simply rebadged Del Fino's for the U.S. market.

Thanks, ET. I was going to do a navy fresco SC some time next year, but that navy hemp looks really nice.

I am actually having my PoW made up right now. With 2 patch pockets and a barchetta chest pocket.

This I need to see! I have something similar in mind. Why was I on holiday when the tailor visited...

Cross post from the A&S Ex-Pat thread...

The ever elusive original London Lounge Alden Gun Club. Persistence pays off with finally tracking down a jacket length. Old school, beefy stuff at around 21oz. With this and a sweater on together I don't think I'll need an overcoat this Winter!

Not sure what's going on with the rippling buttoning point as that's not really noticeable in real life although might partly be due to the recent overseas shipment. The coat is not tight by any means.

that half moon at the button I have found is common among A&S style cutters when do a 3 roll through. Never been able to figure out why, but it's not just your coat and it's not just Steed.

Gotcha. I'm totally fine with it either way.

Nice, Slewfoot:
I have the same old LL gun club. Mine was made up by Caraceni and they wouldn't do patch pockets - said the cloth was tool heavy. They look great on yours. It is a heavy cloth, but nice to have when the weather turns.

I recall you also had Caraceni make a solaro for you. What else do you have from them?
