Thanks again for the suggestion. Tailor prefers british cloth, so will probably stick to the Mersolair, and it's always reassuring to hear that he recommends this cloth too.
Checked out the Merino Brothers site, and the pictures were very good. Nice to also see the texture.

Like the look and texture of this, and sounds like a heavier cloth. Being in Norway that shouldn't be a bad thing.

These two also looked nice:

60143, 60144 and 60135 were nice. You Sir, just made my decision a whole lot harder. Thanks though. :nodding:

Nice. Although I think that's last year's collection - I have a jacket in 4C made by our mutual friend. 3C is the one NMWA bought up.

Does anybody still have any lengths of that tobacco fresco left?

I'm pretty sure someone mentioned recently that they are getting rid of a length...can't remember who. Mine was put to good use. icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

I am buying in bulk some 310g 60% kid mohair/40% wool William Halstead mid navy huckaback weave hopsack. It's marketed as a jacketing but some have used it for trousers as well.

Here is a scan that compares it to some identical (colour aside) cloths that are made for Caccioppoli (bottom left and right). The one I am looking to buy (middle swatch) is a shade of navy in between the two made for Caccioppoli (bottom left: standard navy, bottom right: light navy). This colour is not stock supported.

I need to buy the whole roll to get a good price on it. Please PM if you are interested in getting some. Price is USD60/metre. Shipping for a jacket length is USD50; suit length is USD70. The cloth is ready now. You can expect to receive the cloth within a couple of weeks after I get enough interest to buy the whole piece.

Many thanks for the help @bamboo and @Pliny on Clissold

Sure will be getting some cut when I am there next

From my memory they do look "thicker" as most old school English fabric so hopefully will turn into some Fall / Winter stuff.

+1 on the above.

Also, would this be suitable for an overcoat?

Some of them might be the same, but I couldn't say for sure.
