I hope to see some of those lots appearing in B&S in the near future!

it is really hard to buy with out seeing in person.
most of the Alumo fabric is from past seasons. so i doubt the style numbers will be helpful
there is Thomas mason fabric, but not the full collection.
you could email specific styles to see if they are still in stock.
i know there is a small amount of byron-kent in white and colors

i have bought some great things.
cleaned out the white zendelene.

Someone also cleaned out the white Triplo :( That was gone a month ago. Light blue, also. Same with a lot of the Zendalin and Soyella. The 36” Alumo stuff is fantatic if you like voiles and interesting weaves, though the more conventional stuff went some time ago. As of a few weeks ago there were some very nice wools and cotton/wool cotton/cashmere.

Many thanks for this PSA. Do you know if they ship to Europe and accept Paypal?
Cheers

What's the typical savings of buying at this sale rather than through your tailor?

you would have to ask your shirtmaker what he charges for CMT.
some of the older fabrics will never be replicated again.

Production methods have changed.

Something I had never seen before, but which is quite cool, is cotton crepe. I recall there were several colors. I have no idea what to do with it, but it just seemed cool.

I made three trips and while I wanted to stock up on staples, each time I went I kept going through the 36" Alumo piles. In all, I think I got 12 different lengths of that stuff. I did manage to get some Triplo (but too late for the white; it was there on my fist visit, gone by my second) and some other staple-type fabrics in high-quality weaves. But in my opinion, the 36" rolls are the real treasures.

Crepe was somewhat popular about 15 years ago.

I got some in ecru, thinking I will maybe make a dinner shirt from it someday. Or else short sleeve.

When it was popular (if such a thing was actually possible without styleforum), how was it typically used?
I was only familiar with silk crepe for dinner shirts.
