Yeah, that is what I was thinking. I have a few samples, but the only one I really like so far is from Fox and its HEAVY (17/18oz) hopsack. It has a great nubby texture:

It's quite similar, bit more weight, but little bit less spongy
The hopsack is similar to delfino/carnet lines from the past
Try solbiati art du Lin at 420gI just received the Fox samples. As much as I love heavy fabrics, this linen feels like the upholstery of my sofa. I understand "heavy" might be subjective, but I found the W. Bill 380gr already not too heavy, so this one at 500gr picked my interest. However, save for the wonderful texture, much better than the rather flat and formal WB, the weight of 500 is in my opinion way too much. EDIT: I would consider said fabric for a trouser, akin to a denim but without that "denim made tailored trouser look" which I find a tad off.
It's also way less expensiveI might add that the grey tones seem nicer. For some reason, those looked always a bit dull in Ascot 4 ply and prevented me to confirm new trousers in them, despite me liking the fabric for it's qualities.
How much p/m?It's also way less expensive
thank you, but I found the recent AdL bunches to be too soft, I prefer stiffer.Try solbiati art du Lin at 420g
re: Navy Linen. Which -darker- blue tone do you prefer? Thank you!
