Cognacs: Marquise de Gensac VSOP(sweet fruity, chocolaty)- XO (balsamic and complex) two of my current favs.
Armagnacs: Delord VSOP (grape, wine, candy, great nose) inexpensive and rich in flavor.
Chateau de Laubade, : vanilla, butterscotch and prunes.
Chateau Du Busca, Armagnac Tenareze, 15 years: Slight floral aroma, hints of maple, licorice and earthy notes.
Baron de Lustrac, 1980, Cepage Bacco,: Intense notes of rich, melted butter, caramel, fig and candied orange.
D"Ognoas, Alanbic, 1985, : Smooth, full body, rich notes of dried fruit with a slight spicy aroma. Delicious.
Domaine de Coquillon, Darroze, 1973, : Notes of spice, leather and vanilla with a hint of orange and fig.
Unfortunately not a lot of info/reviews available on Armagnacs, so I just buy them and try them.
