Ebay Experiences - Seller ratings - Page 22

I have had the opprotunity to purchase from several SF members here and can say I have not had any disappointments.

Quite frankly more positives: To mention a few-

AlanC-quick shipping, communicates quickly and great packing *****

KentWang-quick shipping, great packing, good communicator, very nice products *****
I know there are more but I can absolutely say for anyone who is considering buying, have no doubts about these 2 guys.

And finally I apologize to the other members I've bought from and just can't remember--senior moment

I bought a couple of great ties from AlanC on this forum. I'm really looking forward to buying one of Ed Morel's great buys and one of these days I'll get it before someone else beats me to it!

It's now Sunday and no payment, and no further communication. At what point would it be reasonable for me to get a little more aggressive (like a more strongly worded "nudge")?

Considering that the buyer has 297 points with a 99.6% rating, I'm certainly not overly concerned with this particular buyer. But for the future, I would like to know what's normal and expected.

Thanks.

I expect people to contact me within 72 hours and to pay within a week. You should specify your guidelines in your auction.

Due to the nature of my job I have time to scan the net and compare items and prices at many on line sites,

You would be hard pressed to find better deals on fine NWT items than edmorel (quality seller) sells for.

I've suggested to ed previously that he could get much higher prices on Ebay with great ads and a little hype. But he prefers to sell faster, mostly here on SF to us for truly great prices.

For pre owned items there is singlechange who also lists here on the SF B & S forum. I don't know him, but his values are amazing! He often sells items like Kiton and Lobb. The proof is in the pudding! When singlechange lists something here it generally sells within minutes with many replies. That tells you something.

Thank Ed and singlechange!

Thanks for the reply Baron.

That particular buyer finally did get in touch with me (after 5 days)...And apologized for not paying sooner. Said he hadn't sent my Paypal payment yet because he had been "busy with work." (And yet he had time to send me an e-mail). He Paypal'd me several hours later. So it ended OK.

In the future I'll make sure that I state my payment guidelines.

Osprey Guy: I don't like to keep money in the bank account paypal has access to, so sometimes I have to wait to transfer money to it before paying for things. I'm sure lots of people do this.

I'm sorry if this has been mentioned before but does anyone have any experiences with ebay seller poloauctions?

krisj: I bought a polo blue label blazer from poloauctions and it went smoothly. Not the best packing but no damage done. They ship from Nevada.

I have purchased ties from rssmsvc on this forum. Great communication, packaging and he ships immediately. Quality service.

drizzt3117 sold me a shirt, blazer, and some ties and even though the packaging was a little tight, the items were in spectacular condition. i cant get over how great these are and how easy it was to buy from him.

Has anybody here dealt with d.marni or geb_999 on eBay? I have recently had some issues with them and don't want to go into it if these were isolated incidents by otherwise great sellers.

If it's marked BRAND NEW UNWORN, the tie was worn for several hours by a man trapped in a burning building who saved himself by jumping out a window onto rose bushes.

If it's marked LIGHTLY USED, it was collided with an anti-tie and the resulting energy was captured, packaged poorly, and shipped uninsured.

It all seems authentic, though.

The seller leaves psycho feedback in response to negs or neutrals. (So I won't bother leaving any, myself.)
