Ah, good point. I've never much paid attention to negs that others have left.

That's surprising.

They do not have a great feedback % of 98.4% by Ebay standards.

But they used to be primarily resellers of decent used stuff. Who knows where they got their items. Thrift shops I suppose. pejsek once called them something like "The great Russian Trawlers of Bay Area Thrifts". And he might have been accurate.

But over the last year I noticed that the majority of their stuff is NWT well known names, including Brioni, Kiton, Bijan, etc. I wonder where they get all that NWT stuff.

AAMOF they have reached the point where they can start all their auctions at $.01 with no reserve, and have the auction end any day and time. They get a lot of traffic. Sort of like Grapevinehill.

But if what you say is correct, then there is a problem. They might make one mistake or there might be an Email address problem or such. But with a 98.4% feedback rating, there are a lot of mistakes. I would be real careful in dealing with them.

I bought a pair of used Aldens from Blondys Bay. There ended up being a small cut in the leather that wasn't disclosed in the auction, but I got the shoes for under $50, but they seemed like a good deal regardless and I didn't complain. They were shipped pretty fast but I never tried to contact them. I'd say you should strictly troll their store for bargains and be ready to file a Paypal claim if they don't perform.

I've had successful transactions with them (blondys bay) before, but I've been waiting for a tie from them for about a month with absolutely no response to my emails...

Is that not grounds for a paypal 'item not received' claim? that might get their attention hopefully.

Yes, I filed one, they never responded to it in any way, so I won and got my money back. These guys take a lack of communication to a whole new level.

Yes, they are a strange seller.

But A Harris, Have you noticed how the quality of their items has really gone up the last year or so, compared to years past.? Some of it is problematical like NWT Bijan suits and coats. But some of their NWT stuff is very nice.

But they won't answer Emails on any item, even if it's a suit that is going to sell for $1000. Strange way to do business.

Hello. I'm a new ebay seller under "parhamwaddell". I just wanted to say hello and I hope everyone stops by to browse my items. I'll be dealing in a variety of new and vintage conveyances, or transport if you will. Everything from vintage bicycles to wooden watercraft, motorcycles, and small city cars. There's lots in the shop but this online selling is new to me as I juggle my dayjob. Here is my first auction, a vintage 1947 Swiss Army bike: http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-1947-Con...QQcmdZViewItem (If the link doesn't work, just search for "1947 swiss army bicycle.") There are many other bikes I'm restoring and will soon advertise via my blog: http://www.parhamwaddell.com/blog Thanks.

I asked a question and got a response in 2 days. Go figure.

I bought a belvest jacket from blondy bay auctions and got it two days after I paid via Paypal... I guess YMMV.

I still haven't got my stuff, I had to file a claim with my credit card company because I gave them too much time and couldn't file with ebay/paypal.

BlondsBayAuctions is one strange business!

But, I must admit, their offerings have gotten nicer and nicer and sometimes their items sell for a great value.

Too bad they are not on top of things.

My chargeback request to my credit card has just registered with paypal, so I'll see what happens next.
