Avoiding Ebay's "theuploader"

Based on a recent transaction, I'd avoid "theuploader" on Ebay. He not only got the (plainly marked) size wrong in a recent suit transaction, he also mischaracterized condition. Perusing his feedback (which ain't that good-- shame on me for not seeing this sooner), I see references to customers who pressed for and received post-purchase adjustments. That tells me this is a chronic problem for him.

I'm inclined to agree, based on my one experience with him. I was the only bidder on a Charvet shirt, size 17 in classic blue. You'd think there would have been lots of bidders on such a shirt, which perhaps indicates others shy away from the uploader too. I got the shirt for $9.99. Turns out it had seen more wear than the "like new" condition represented and the sleeves were shorter than had been stated in the auction description. In the end, it was so cheap, I just threw the shirt into my "donate to the thrift shop" bag. It wasn't worth going about the hassle of returning it. But, I'll never buy anything from the uploader again.

I recieved a suit from this seller yesterday. It was described as "very gently worn" but he neglected to mention that there are a couple of small mothholes on the sleeve. It was only $20 so it's not a complete loss but he should have discovered and disclosed the flaws.

Typo...Very Gently WORMED... In all seriouseness, I recommended to J and he agreed that we should start an official Unnoficial thread about Ebay Nightmares and positive stories as well so people can refer to it and learn who to and not to avoid. I will start it in a moment. JJF
