I've used Sylvian at European Master Taylor for suits and other finer clothing. DZ for denim at Blake's suggestion, although I have some new denim that I want to try chainstitching on. In house chainstitching would be grand, Blake.

not to derail, but where can i get a good haircut in town?

This place is actually pretty sweet.

http://www.avedapdx.com/guest_services.php

Pros: Cheap ($12!); super nice peeps; organized and lots of supervision of student stylists; great location two blocks from awesome coffee (Barista).
Cons: Stylists are students, albeit usually experienced ones; big, busy space; the organized nature of the program means you can expect to spend a full hour or so there, even for a simple cut.

got a great haircut there. was really pleased. I would happily spend more, but i've often spent more and been half as happy. YMMV.

Gonna be in Portland with some friends from March 31st - April 3rd. We've got a lot planned as far as restaurants, shops, etc and we've got tickets for Blazers vs. Thunder, but if any of you Portland dudes know of anything exciting going on that weekend i'd really appreciate some recommendations.

Well it's my birthday on the 3rd, so that's some serious shit right there!

Kidding. Do you know Mike over at Tanner/The Woodlands? He's a great PDX resource, as is Blake.

Ha, at first I thought you meant a concert in Salem, OR, not the band Salem. Salem, OR is the worst.

Also looking for a place to get my hair cut in Portland area, haven't had a decent cut in almost 2 years and haven't even cut it in almost 9 months in fear that someone is going fuck it up.

Rudys on Division - Vinnie. Rudys in the Pearl - Tommy. Both do a great no-nonsense cut for 25 bux including tip.

Thanks Carl. We might actually try to hit all of these places over the four days. I've heard most of the names, but this will makes things easy. You or Mike in the shop on Friday?

There is a very strong chance we'll make it out to this. Mount Kimbie passed through Victoria last year, for what i believe was there first N. American show. They didn't bring any adapters for their equipment and only managed a couple songs by the time things got sorted out. Would love a chance to see them with a bit more experience under their belts.

Do any of you know if DZ would be willing to do denim jobs same day? I have a couple things i'd like done, but i'd prefer to be able to drop it off, do a couple other things, come back and leave same day.
