Funny that the topic of orange corduroys should arise. Â I actually bought a pair of those RL cords a few weeks ago. Â I thought they looked sharp but was concerned that they were too flashy. Â The day I bought them I decided to wear them to dinner at a new Argentine steak house. Â I wore them with a navy blazer, a checked shirt, and an Hermes pocket square with some orange in it. Â It may have looked good, but I felt conspicuous and slightly uncomfortable. Â I learned a bit about what I can get away with and what I'm most comfortable with. Â I'll leave the razzle-dazzle to the more adventuresome Style Forum members.
Dandy: You make a great point and I actually thought that is what Gregory was asking when he said what do you think when you see this... I have said this before...we dress so that we should feel good (comfortable ) about ourselves. If you have to defend the wisecrack remark that someone invariably is gonna make and you feel slightly uncomfortable it is unimportant if it matches or is the latest and greatest in fashion. You are still uncomfortable. No matter where you live these remarks will be made by SOMEONE when you wear bright orange pants, and if you get even slightly flushed under the collar does it make sense? JJF
