I've used the Kilo spray. It smells nice for 15 seconds in the morning and wears off completely after that. Pointless. "Either Gucci Envy or Rochas Man, IIRC... not sure though. Been a while since I went on a sniffing expedition down a pharmacy aisle." Do either of these have a drugstore ripoff that's an actual cologne rather than a spray in a can?

I brought a can of axe phoenix a few weeks ago (not because of this thread, just a coincidence), and that's been my experience too. It smells pretty nice for a few seconds, and then it's gone.

However that's also been my experience with every other cologne I've ever tried. I still have half full bottles of bvlgari, armani code, lacoste pour homme, versace eau fraiche, and azzaro chrome lying around.

Maybe I'm doing something wrong, I usually just put 2 spritzes of EDT on my neck before I head out the door in the morning.

I don't see why people look down on something just because the price is low. If it smells the same as aqua de gio, then aren't all the people who are still buying aqua de gio for $60 a bottle just over-paying for the label?

Exactly. But, Phil, of course you knew I'd agree with you on that.

If you are more than 18 years old and work in any sort of a professional setting, it's time to upgrade. Axe is about the cologne equivalent of Giorgio Brutini. Maybe even worse...

Axe is nasty. At least go to a place like TJ Maxx or Marhall's and get a real cologne for like 10-20 bucks. It'll last a lot longer than Axe anyway so it's not like you're paying more.

If you think it's wearing off, you might just be getting acclimated to the smell. Any cologne that you put on will become invisible to you in like a minute or two, just because you get used to smelling it. The true test is to ask mom/girl/random stranger whether they can smell your cologne.

Just because you can't smell the cologne doesn't mean that everyone else is submitted to it. Ask someone how you smell, because 90% of the time, Axe gives everyone else around you a headache. Also, why would you even want to smell like everyone else in the room, if everyone is wearing it, no one is wearing it.
