Greasy face.

I'm on acne meds, specifically a topical cream call Tazorac. I rarely get acne anymore but my face gets pretty greasy from it. Not very visible to the naked eye but once the camera flashes I look at the pictures on facebook and cringe. I seriously look like I had just come home from an hour long cardio workout.

Any way to prevent this, or at least make my face look less greasy?

I use a moisturizer that has a matte agent to keep my face from shining. That's the ticket. The stuff from Clinique mens line seems to work well for me at a reasonable price. You gotta use a moisturizer that's specific for your oily skin type. The toner from Clinique is good too. Also, there's these tissues that my wife gave me, from Japan, that sucks up oil. I don't know where to get these but you could probably google it. You carry a small pack of them and when you blot your face, it really sucks up the grease.

I have perfect skin.

Since I was in my early teenage years I used various facial cleansers after morning and evening showers from the advice of my sisters. Great advice. Whenever I don't use them I feel unclean, and certainly somewhat 'greasy'. Go to a pharmacy and ask what they think is good.

I think you just need to find the right combination of cleanser/moisturizer/etc for your face.

Does all that man protein that ends up on your face help your complexion?

Conne did ask for this, but one might also inquire as to exactly how you obtained this most sensitive piece of knowledge. Better have a well-prepared answer, is all I'm saying.

They're called oil clear sheets and your probably using the Gatsby brand.

You can find these at your local japanese store Mitsuwa or whatever or wherever you can find japanese products.

Costs about 2 dollars and you get like 80 sheets which is a helluva lot.

Clean & Clear also makes them called "Oil Control Film" Get the one with the grapefruit smell, nothing beats a greasy citrus.

If you can control the acne, I think oily skin is a blessing. It really helps reduce wrinkles.

that said, you will just have to consciously do something about it if you dont like the shine. There is a guy at work who washes his face in the bathroom a couple of times a day. its no big deal.

oily skin is hardly a blessing. It's not exactly attractive having a glossy sheen on your face all the time. Having to rinse it off several times a day can be a pain, and doesn't necessarily do the trick. Thankfully it looks as though I may have found a facial-care regimen that takes care of it.

Try taking 3000mg/day of Carlson's fish oil spread out throughout the day. If you have inflamed sebaceous glands, it will help with that. My skin isn't super dry or oily but I put emu oil around my eyes so that I don't wrinkle.

Oily skin, however, does not age as rapidly as dry or normal skin. Wrinkles, fine lines, etc. do not readily appear on oily skin.

Moisturize with emu oil, which isn't super greasy, especially on days you shower or go in the sun or cold winter winds. Also, don't rub your eyes. Even during allergy season I try not to rub my eyes as it causes sagging and wrinkling.

I use an Erno Laszlo product that contains Emu Oil.
