Dealing with going gray - Page 4

Late 30s and I'm going gray, maybe 30% at the moment, and while I like the gray and would not dye it, the trouble I have is the gray hair is more wiry and kinky than the rest. This makes it very hard to cut well.

That's the tough part of dealing with gray for me. It's different hair and it requires different care than my old hair. Unless I get a crewcut, I wake up with a salt-and-pepper afro on some one side of my head--usually the top.

Embrace the gray. I have had white/gray hair start popping up in my early 20's (not unusual for us Mediterrannean people) but I don't care. Plus the wife likes it and she is a barber (has never wanted me to get it dyed)!

Now if you're really uncomfortable, don't do some overt dye-job. Blending will work much better.
