The only hair product I use is Pinaud's Eau de Quinine hair tonic since I have a kind of young Conor Oberst hairstyle.

Clays, etc. I have no use for.

Getting a hair cut soon... any advice on what product to use to get something like this? I don't want something hard or stiff or sticky like gel. Between pomade, creme, wax, etc what gives a soft hold that moves but retains style?

I'd say what I use- American Crew Forming Creme- would be good for that look.

Thanks!

you might have to use a pinch of gel as well to keep that shape for an extended period of time, though.

For my part, I just love l'Anza's Urban Molding Paste (Link: http://www.lanza.com/products/displa...olding%20Paste).

It styles, textures, separates and defines my hair the way I want, and it smells just so good, but not too strong.

What are you using?

Grooming Creme by Bumble and Bumble - http://www.themensroom.com/hair/the-...-hair-product/

Currently using: I'm happy with the results, but I want to try those: My hair is short/medium, thick, straight yet a bit wavy.

What is the exact name of the Gatsby wax you ordered ?

I use Aveda Grooming Clay; although i have no complaints i'm not averse to trying something new. As it stands on the thread, it looks like Gatbsy, crew and mop seem to offer what i'm looking for: not too shiny, moderate hold and pliability.

Anyone know if JAS Mart in NYC would carry Gatsby ?

Cheers.

JasMart used to carry Gatsby a couple years back. However, I went in 3 months ago and there wasn't any there.

Could have restocked it since I went.

What would you use to style this hairstyle? I currently own AC Fiber, Bed Head Manipulator, and Aveda Grooming Clay.
