The below is what was shown at the CFDA, but it is by no means the entire collection. Lots of new and expected jackets missing (pea jacket, fishing jacket, mountain parka, etc.), although new vests, cardis, and sweaters are revealed. Most of the jackets seem to be FW08's versions of past jackets.

Damnit that Chesterfield is the one I wanted last year. Regardless, I'm going to start saving for it now.

Did this thread just slip under the radar or what? Or is it just incubating until August, when it will burst from the chest cavity of forum backpages splattering the walls with hype and envy?

Sooo... Random question: What exactly makes the pants Norwegian Army pants?

Also - Herringbone Bedford looks really nice.

Slow down there son, S/S08 stuff has just started hitting the racks and I haven't even finished my buys for the season. I'd be broke if it was fall all over again.

They're styled closely after actual BDU pants, most likely from the Norwegian army. I have a picture of some actual ones somewhere, and I'll post it later if I can find it.

^ I'm surprised the sufu crowd hasn't been all over those pants yet. I remember seeing at least one long thread over there clamoring for slim fitting, trendy cargo pants.

Is "unflattering, costume-y, and poorly-made" a trend now?

How can you tell they're poorly made from the pictures?

Excepting the bowtie and maybe the cardigan, I don't see how these clothes could be considered "costume-y." A shirt or hoodie under a jacket, with pants. Or a vest over a jacket seem pretty wearable to me. Poorly made is just a false statement. "Unflattering" is a matter of aesthetics, but personally, I like a number of these looks.

Are you referring to the picture of the guy in the chesterfield? If so, I think it's a work apron.
