Just to comment that I just bought a pair of oxbloods - 213s. Just in time for summer, a heavy ass boot. I think they're great- the color is not as rich as on the website but the leather is awesome. I usually wear a 9D in dress shoes (ferragamo, AE) and a 9.5 in sneakers, and sized down to an 8 for these. They fit wonderfully, and I am looking forward to destroying them once I can get some serious wear into them.

Any comments on replacement laces? Mine came with sort of hideous dark/light brown laces and I think that either solid black or brown would look better.

Thanks!
Adam

Hello

I've bought myself the Red Wing Work Chukka boots 3141 UK size 9, the boots fit well length wise but the width is a little tight. Will it stretch over time? I am wondering this because it is tight where the leather overlaps for the stitching, not to sure if that part would stretch.

Thanks.

So, I'm thinking about buying my first pair of RW. I'm thinking I might get the postman oxford. How do they run? Should I size up or down? I have to start wearing an orthopedic insole soon because of some damage done whilst running. PREEZ HERP.

Where are you getting these? I've been trying to find a good deal for these online cause I don't think they are available locally (Toronto).

X post.
Purchased a pair of the 9111's earlier spring, since we have been experiencing rain and cold weather until recently here in North California. At any rate I love these guys, too bad the weather has turned up and I can't wear these as much as I would like unless I'm working on something. My foot measured at about 23.75 and I went a full size down from what i normally wear in dress shoes (size 7 mens) to a 6D, fits great love the leather insole. May be in the market for some of the RW hand sewn just cant find a place to try them on near here in my size. Any ways fit pics

Thinking about getting some 9111s too. I wear 41.5 (8.5) in Red Wing GTs. Should I stick with this or size 0.5 down ?

Red Wings are available readily in Toronto. They are carried (and currently on sale) at Locale in the Eaton Centre (my 213's were ~$150), as well as Get Outside and a number of the other stores on Queen St., close to Spadina. There's one place that has basically every model, on the south side of Queen, close to Spadina.

Good luck!

after searching the thread it seems many have experienced heel slippage, and i'm curious how it turned out. my question is whether or not it went away or improved over time? i'm considering sizing down 1/2 perhaps....recommendations/experiences?

thx :)

Is there a reason the RW boat shoes cost more than like the chukkas and some boots?

Has anyone had any experience with the Red Wing 9030? I have a pair of 213's in size 8D US, and I am sort of in love with the 9030. I like that they can be polished, they sort of look like the Indy, but the color seems richer. I don't want to have to deal with sending them back and forth, though, and at close to $400...they're pretty expensive: http://www.endclothing.com/red-wing-9030-beckman-boot.html.

FYI - Stock image:

If anyone has any experience, or an 8D US they want to sell...pm me!

Thanks!
