@wakawaka. IMO, if you are unsure about sizing on Red Wings play it safe by sizing down 0.5. This will allow you to adjust the fit using insole if required.

Hello everyone.

I need assistance of fstyle forum's Red Wing fellowship. I live in Poland and am about to buy my very first pair of Red Wings - 875s or 877s - and simply put, I have no idea what size to choose. I cannot go to a store and talk with a Red Wing expert who would tell me the exact size I need - I have to count on your advices, dear community. My foot is 26.5 cm long, which is roughly 10.5 in. I usually wear size 8.5, or 41EU. So far I am aware that both 875s and 877s run large, so I should size down at least half a size. In my case that would be picking size 8 - or even 7.5. Would I be safe ordering 7.5 of 877s (875s)? Wouldn't size 7.5 be too tight? I've already asked customer service in about three online shops about the right size of styles mentioned above, however no one was able to help me. Thus I decided to post my conundrum here...

Your thorough assistance would be appreciated, as I will have virtually no options of returning shoes to US for a different size, and these boots will cost me about... well... about my entire monthly salary :). Surely there must be guys here that have same foot size as I do - what is you experience with 875s and 877s? Please, share it here.
I wear an 11 U.S. dress shoe (which i believe is like a UK 10 or a 44) and 10.5 in most Red Wing boots I've tried (including the 875). Several UK shops sell Red Wings (Albam for sure) - have you looked into their stock/return policies? If you do, just make sure you understand what sizes they are quoting (US or UK).

I wear an 11 U.S. vans authentic and converse chucks (a UK 10 or a 44) the chucks and vans are a bit narrow for me, the chucks have a 1"-1.5" of toes space...my feet are a bit on the wide side, what size should i go with the IR? and what is the difference between EE or D sizing?

Shameful plug: Have a barely used pair of 1907's for sale on the b&s if you or anyone you know would is in need of a size 8D. Would trade for a 7D.

Sorry if this has been already asked... that being said

- Sizing question:
On the 9111's for those that have a set. Tried the Iron ranger in the smallest run they had, a size 7 which is what I normally wear in most things, but they where huge on me!

Thinking about exchanging them for a pair of 9111's in a 6.5D, my foot measures 24.55cm. If these run like the IR should I go down stick with a 7D or half it to 6.5?

TIA

Should probably note that I have been to a RW store was sized by one of the gents working, but they did not have anything in stock remotely close to my size. (toddler feet)

So, I'm thinking about buying my first pair of RW. I'm thinking I might get the postman oxford. How do they run? Should I size up or down? I have to start wearing an orthopedic insole soon because of some damage done whilst running. PREEZ HERP.

I just ordered a pair of RW 8131s in size 5.5D and going by the size chart on the RW site a 5.5 is around 23.5cm but when I asked a seller on ebay to send me the length of the sole and insole he came back with 11" which is 28cm. Does this seem right? I already wasted money buying a pair of Wolverine 1000 miles that were WAY too big, and need to try to sell, and the Wolverine's are just maybe a cm bigger than 11" (women's size 9).

If you have a narrow foot, go 1 full size down. If you have a medium to wide foot, go .5 size down.

I bought a pair of these last week. They're made on the same last as the 875 (23 last). I went .5 size down, but I'm going to return for a full size. Since they're oxfords and don't have the extra laces around the ankle, they're too loose for me.

I went down .5 size and they worked for me. Make sure to leave room for an orthotic.
