I also know some people think saddle soap dries the leather too much (though I haven't had a problem with this since I usually condition any time the boots warrant that thorough a cleaning). Anyone with thoughts on saddle soap vs. Lexol or similar cleaners?

I like their leather oil, but I was assuming Roguls was suggesting HDLP, which doesn't make sense to me. Also, sticking a boot with cracked leather into a heated environment seems like a recipe for disaster.

How does the Wabasha line fit? J. Crew says TTS but others have said anything from .5 to 1 size down?

I'm a size 10 in most shoes with a 9.5 being a bit snug in some.

Would I be safe with a size 10 in the Wabasha?

So you're thinking a 9.5 even with a heavy pair of socks?

If you're wearing extremely heavy socks with them, then true to brannock is probably a better idea.

Thank you.

My next question, do you know of anywhere / anyone selling the higher all leather J. Crew Wabasha boot? I'm new here and can't figure out how to post a Wanted Ad in the marketplace, Lol

I do not, but you won't be able to post an ad in the marketplace until ten days after you created your account

Inspired by Cathpah's Beckman 9013 Chestnut...

Picked them up from Amazon, taking advantage of their recent 20% off promo:

4th pair of RW this Winter. Spring needs to come soon.

I have not worn through any pair yet. With a total of 5 pairs of RW + 1 pair of W1K in the rota, plus the fact that I normally only wear boots in the Winter, they probably will last me forever. smile.gif

It's the most "raw" looking leather I've seen from them and this is the only boot I've seen use it. It comes lighter out of the box -- these pics are after a coating of Obenauf's LP and I added some new waxed cotton laces. They should develop a nice patina. Here are pics:

These are achingly beautiful. I was pondering whether to get the Moc Toes, but after these pictures I might have changed my mind. :thumbs-up:
