I strongly advise against the crepe soled versions as a winter boot - I had a pair two seasons ago and the crepe wore down to nothing in about 1.5 months. I live in the city and walk a lot, but no matter which way you cut it that's unacceptable.

They are all very nice! You would not go wrong with any of these. I am also looking for a pair of Red Wings, i am considering 2904 model (very hard to find anywhere

Iron Rangers question.

Bergdorf Goodman has these shown as their Amber Harnesses:

(Nice!!!)

^^^Endless has these listed as "Oro Russets"

And these listed as Amber Harnesses.

I can go to BG/NM and see the Amber Harnesses in person. But they don't (from what I understand) have the Oro Russets, which look much better on Endless' site. Anyone ever see both in person? Fcking website photography.

I got the 4465s last year. I'm in Baltimore so when we got crushed with the blizzards they handled the crap weather and slush with ease.

Is anyone buying steel-toe RedWings for fashion wear? I have a pair that I used to use for work. Want to know if it's cool to wear them casually.

Looks like I've joined the GT club. All in all, they'll be great boots. Sizing down to 9.5 from my usual 10-10.5 was a good idea. They fit well. I like how, depending on the light, the black cherry can look dark brown or a brighter dark red.

I wore mine in the winter and have been wearing them at least 5 days a week since january. I haven't had the issues he has described at all. I will say they are bad as winter boots though once they start smoothing out. Any amount of moisture/ice will send you sliding.

I like these but don't really need the steel toe. Anyone here with experience with how much weight it adds?

I just bought some Red Wing Iron Ranger Amber Harness boots and I was wondering what kind of oil I need to get for these.. something I can order online or something easily attainable would be good.

Thanks a lot!
