Classic Lifestyles are what I meant to say.  Anyway, at Piperlime.  20% off for Friends and Family, 20% off with the current coupon code, 20% this customer service thing they gave me and then I was able to stack on 3 rewards certificates from my Banana Republic Luxe card for another $110 off (I had more rewards but the system wouldn't allow them).  Either way at $160, which is 20% +20% they would have been a good deal.

Well I knew that two of the 20%s would stack, but I didn't think the third 20% would.  I also knew the rewards would stack.  I still have $50 in rewards left too.  That extra 20% allowed me to save on rewards.  I just wish they had the 6" moc boot in that taupe suede as well.  I'll get them from Amazon though with either my Discover or Amex rewards.

Hey Guys, I just bought a pair of 3141 chukkas. I went TTS but they are still tight around my right big toe. Should I try and break em in or opt for a .5 size increase.

The leather will flex... some... but if it's bothering you, swap it out. It's not worth gambling on "will the shoe flex enough?", bump up a half size and be more comfortable. If the new size is even slightly "big" feeling, you can use proper wool socks (if you aren't already) to eliminate any issues of looseness. In fact, I recommend decent weight wool socks for all boot use. Just my $0.02.

Don't know if they're the same ones, but while the 6" mocs fit me the corresponding Chukkas were too narrow and tight.

You could try and insert or thicker socks on the .5 size up.

Red Wing n00b here...

I just bought a pair of Beckman in cherry for the Fall/Winter weather. Just wondering what I should do before wearing them in term of pre-condiitoning and water proofing?

Thanks in advance.

Go to the wolverine 1000 mile boot thread and search posts by Crane. He has unloaded a vast wealth of knowledge on this exact topic. Short version: get Obenauf's LP and use as directed.

Weird that

a) the lace holes are dark/blackish. Normally they are chrome\silverish.

b) under Red Wing the Iron Rangers do not show. I was wondering whether they have other models, too.

A) I don't know? I do know that this color isn't the standard brown color.

B) I believe that's because they are in the sale section now, not in any other area. Use the search function of the site and you may have better luck. Maybe.

EDIT: Just used the search on their site. They do have more Red Wing models, including the normal Iron Rangers, but only a few styles are on sale - NOT the regular Iron Rangers. So, if you like Hawthorne Iron Rangers, saddle up.

Ah, now I can see the other amber harness Iron Rangers, too.

Weird, before it wasn't shown.

Regarding the lace holes: Compare the two:
