Red Wing Boots - Your Opinion - Page 84

According to the redwing site the engineer boot is the 522 last, whereas the beckman is the 8... does anyone know how these compare size-wise?

The only place that carries them around here has very limited sizes.

I tried a beckman in size 8, which felt too big, then an engineer in 7.5, which was verging on too small, so if someone can confirm the beckman last 8 is bigger than the engineer last 522, I can safely order the 7.5 beckman

Has anyone tried the engineer boot and the GT/beckman who can say if one is significantly larger than the other?

I recently picked up some 3145's. Can't decide which laces I like:

Can anyone tell me how well the muleskinner IR's hold up in the rain. I live on the west cost, so there's lots of it.

So what the hell is going on with my boots:

Buffing only makes it shinier.

I've contacted Red Wing customer service and the retailer. They have no idea/haven't replied.

^ looks like oil. Get some corn starch and pat it in, let sit, brush off. That may help. You may have to put a couple of coats of wax on top.

I've tried on both. Go .5 size down in the Beckman. Last 522 fits more true to size.

That actually looks kind of cool. Gives it character. Embrace imperfection! biggrin.gif

Anyone know how these 2904 fit?

http://www.jcrew.com/mens_feature/theliquorstore/shoes/PRDOVR~49582/99102450273/ENE~1+2+3+22+4294967294+20~~~20+16+4294966587~15~~~~~~~/49582.jsp

So anxious to snag them but not sure if I should get true size or 1/2 down. My feet are a bit wide.
