I can offer my experience with all of the above.
I've got the standard calf Indy, #8 cordovan Indy, and snuff suede Indy as well as the Kudu chukka. Also have the Red Wing GTs in cherry.
Factoring in price, I like the GTs more than the standard calf Indy.
Of all of them however, my favorites are the snuff suede Indy but they run about $450.
If I had to do it over, I'm not sure I'd get the Kudu chukkas.
I got a good price on them ($220 or so) or I wouldn't have bought them otherwise.
Mostly it's the thick rubber sole that I don't like about them.
Makes them good for winter though. Probably better traction than the calf Indy sole.
