PSA: Paypal is changing their feedback system

Has anyone else read this yet? http://pages.ebay.com/services/forum/new.html

Sellers will no longer be able to leave neutral or negative feedback for buyers starting this May, in hopes that buyers will leave more truthful feedback on sellers without fear of retaliation. What are everyone's thoughts on this? Some sellers will get screwed no doubt, but it seems like it would level the field somewhat in the long run.

Other neat bits (from that URL above):
* Beginning in February, buyers and sellers will be able to earn up to one Feedback per week from the same trading partner. Today, members may only affect each other's Feedback scores one time, regardless of the number of transactions between the parties. This change will both encourage repeat transactions and reward good service.
* Positive Feedback percentage will be based on the past 12 months of Feedback, rather than lifetime, since it is most indicative of the seller's recent performance.

Yea...Sounds nice...Too bad they're probably only sweetening some things so that people will swallow the increase in final value fees...Assholes.

They sent a message saying "WOW we're decreasing fees!" Come to find the FVF goes up to 8.75%.. how stupid do I look.

Hey at least it's cheaper to continue listing my Armani jacket that no one wants to buy.

I got an email from ebay stating that they're lowering the FVF and listing fees for powersellers - anyone else heard about this?
Thanks for any info...

Who's going to list on ebay anymore!?

Ebay as always on a forefront of idiotic ideas. So now buyers will blackmail sellers even more without feeling any sting of retaliation. Great idea Ebay!

It looks like 8.75 on the first 25 which is like 87 cents more or thereabouts. This is offset by a dime or more depending on your starting price. Then there is an increase from 3.25% to 3.50% for the next $975. This is basically a $2.50 increase per $100 over the initial $25.

Sucks, but isn't as horrible as it sounds. Ebay is smart...they only stick it in a half-inch at a time.
