IC: Gieves & Hawkes, Zegna and Oxxford Suits

Owing to a very underwhelming response to my request for some pricing assistance, I've decided to have a go. These suits are priced to sell and they are all in near mint condition (I would say no less than 8 out of 10, and I'm VERY fussy). I'll be putting some on eBay in the next couple of days, but SF members get priority. I hope that the prices are attractive enough to sell, as I want these suit out of the house (for space reasons and to help fund some more purchases). I have: - 1 Button, Peak Lapel Navy Blue Gieves & Hawkes suit. This one is unworn but without tags, labelled 42L. About 1 year old (sold) - 2 Button Black Gieves & Hawkes suit (gently worn), labelled 42L. About 1 year old ($170 shipped) - 2 Button Vintage Brown Oxxford Suit (gently worn), approximately 42R ($135 shipped) - 2 Button Vintage Dark Grey Check (like POW) Oxxford Suit (gently worn), Approximately 42L/43L ($135 shipped) - 2 Button Vintage Dark Grey with Blue Pinstripes Oxxford Suit (gently worn), Approximately 42L/43L. ($135 shipped) - 3 Button Vintage Brown Zegna (Su Misura) Suit (Gently worn), Approximately 42R. (Sold) - 6 x 2 Brown Canali DB (hardly worn), approx. 42R ($200 shipped) - 6 x 2 Navy with Wide Red pinstripes, approx. 42R (sold) The photos and measurements are below: Thank you everyone in advance. Thank you. I am stumbling at a suitable price for the items (that's why I posted in the first place).

Please bear in mind, that I'm not looking for an auction, just some advice on a fair price all around. Naturally, I have the eBay option, but I thought I'd offer them up here first.

If you give me a day, I will get some pictures and measurements up.

I will bear you in mind, if the measurements are to your satisfaction.

Thanks again

I think that helping you figure out a price is going to be tough until we know what you mean by 'gently worn'. For me, that's the most ambiguous term I see on ebay. Posting some pics so we can gauge the amount of wear might help.

Naturally, you are absolutely correct and I apologise for my "eBay" - like descriptions.

My only excuse was that I was tired. What I should have said is the items that I have, are near mint condition (around 9 out of 10) and any flaws that I notice would be outlined in the description.

I have taken around 90 pictures (not excellent quality), but I'm not sure how to display them all (without taking all the bandwith in the entire Internet).

I haven't taken any measurements, but here's a sample of the suits that I'm selling.

Canali DB 6x2 buttons in Charcoal (EU52 R). 100% Wool

2 Button Oxxford Grey with Blue Pinstripes (approx. EU53 Tall). Super 100 wool.

2 Button Oxxford Dark Grey Checks, like POW (approx. EU53 Tall). Super 100 wool.

3 Button Oxxford Brown lightweight (approx EU43 R). I think 100% wool.

2 Button Black Gieves and Hawkes EU52 Long. 97% Wool, 3% Cashmere.

Thanks

Clint

Clint - I'd be interested in the Canali DB if the measurements are good. Always wanted to experiment with DB and this seems the right suit.

Added prices.

Will consider all sensible offers.

Will be listing

- Dark Brown (with ligher subtle checks) Burberrys Duffle coat
- Light Grey Austen Reed suit

May possibly be listing:
- Ozwald Boateng Bespoke Couture suit (genuinely worn once)
- Brioni Beige suit
- Brioni Mushroom pinstripe suit

(but this will depend on the success of these sales).

clint, are you measuring from the bottom of the collar? If so, it seems to me that most of the jackets that you list as approx 42R are closer to 42L.

Hi. I'm measuring the total length of the jacket from the top of the collar to the bottom. I know that some measure from the bottom, but I prefer to provide the total length.

The Grey Oxxfords are the equivalent to a Tall (Long), although, they are unmarked).

The Double Breasted suits are a regular fit (I'm 5' 9") for me.

The Black Gieves is marked 42L and the Zegna is around a regular fit also.

I hope this helps.
