I have a jean...(The Ultimate Jean Thread For Beginners) - ask questions here. - Page 67

I've never owned a pair of APC, but 3" is about what you expect from unsanforized, not sanforized denim. I wouldn't expect much more than an inch in the length, probably less in the waist.

I don't really think you need to worry about stretching with these. Just buy them for how they are raw and you should be okay.

New Standards will shrink very little. No way are they shrinking 3" in the inseam. More like 1/2" in my experience. As far as the waist goes, they will stretch much more than they will shrink, so buy them a bit on the tight side.

what are a good raw jean for the no break/1-2 inch cuff look, on a shorter guy (5'6). (Thinking get smart style here) I guess alot of different jeans could be used for this, but is there a specific leg silhouette that people have found cuff well? EDIT: I've been itching to buy something nudie. So in an effort to make this info request easier, what nudie cut in raw would be best for the no break look?

So I can just buy them(APC NS) for the raw fit, and after wash they will be give or take .5" the same?

careful with that- 'Get Smart' is the only person I have ever seen with that much of a cuff/lack of break style. Which is wierd because he is on the shorter side(so it seems from images) and that certainly doesn't help. So, I guess I'm trying to say- exercise caution.

I've been doing the double roll on a pair of pre SF jeans i bought 3 years ago. (which sat in my closet for 2 years since i was too fat too fit in them) I really like the look with my 3 week old completely destroyed high chucks. That's why I'm thinking I'd love to take that look into a selvage direction. I don't want to do it with my APC ns that I'm going to buy tmrw though.

Jerry I'm a little confused about why you care about shrinking. It's like you're planning to wash them. You need to get them tight enough so that they'll stretch to your shape. You wash them and they'll shrink back close to their original size. Then you put them back on and stretch them out again. If they fit properly the first time you put them on they're going to be too big after a few days of wear...probably.

Some of the repro style cut look good with no break and with cuff. Slightly tapered at the legs like Levi's 501, APC NS. If you're looking for a shorter rise, Acne Mic. Have them hemmed to the desired lengths.

Any ideas on where/how to cop the Johnbull SC008 in America? I could only find them on Rakuten, but I can't read japanese and I don't know if they ship to the US anyway.

You'd need a proxy. May be worth asking BiG about it though, they used to stock them. Maybe they are expecting a restock soon?

Yeah, I just shot them an email.

I wear my APC NS cuffed to just above the no break point as well. I think they look just fine that way. course i usually wear them with my 1460s so they can afford to cuff up higher. I don't know if I'd cuff them (or anything) as high if I wore chucks a lot.

Hey guys. My nudie RRDS have stretched a whole lot. Would soaking them effect the fading process?

How much can I expect the '47 LVC to shrink in the inseam if I bought, say, a 34 vs. a 36 inseam?

Thanks.

could someone offer some advice on a brand to go with... I'm a true 30, but my top block is a tad bigger but from there my legs tappers down slimmer. I went with a APC NS size 29, but the waistline blew up, but i dont think i would be able to get into a 29. I'm looking for a slim straight not skinny fit. I dont like crazy back pocket stitching either. Any brands to go with as my second pair of raw denim? Thanks in advance

This is sort of urgent so I'd love an answer ASAP if anybody knows! The Acne Mic: is "Rigid" the same as "Raw"? I know they have "Another Raw", but are these all 3 different?
