cause unless you're into that pseudo-workwear stuff, there's no point spending an extra 100 bucks for japanese repro denim. i also buy jeans over fit and not craftmanship so maybe i'm sounding biased.

my stupid jeans make a stupid noise when i stupid walk Been wearing them on and off for two months and they've developed some sort of popping noise that emanates from between my thighs. Went on a 16 block walk hoping to work it out and it might be worse. WTF? Help. N&F Weird Guy Deep Indigo 29's

Its from a loose pocket of denim popping when you walk under your ball sack are. Go soak your jeans to tighten up the fabric otherwise they'll start weakening from that movement.

Other than the B&S would there be some sort of sale on N&F by any chance?

Also N&F VS APC... In terms of denim quality and fit who do you think wins?

I think APC has better fits- with the exception of the retarded backpockets that can make for some ridiculous diaper ass.

Denim quality: I'd call it even, but bear in mind APC is $30 more and never discounted. From fades I've seen, APC wins- although I have seen some damn beautiful fades from the Deep Indigo N&Fs. But I'm assuming we're talking about the regular indigo model.

Got another question for you denim heads. Any brands make a fit that is like a APC NS through the legs but has a long front rise?

I love the fit of the APC NS and the front rise is fine but just wish the back rise was a little longer to cover my big ass. Wish they made the front pockets larger also.

Anybody know if you can still get the original standards and what the rise/cut is like on those?

How often do you guys recommend washing your denim after you do the first true blue wash?
I need some recommendations for super skinny jeans around $55 dollars. Anything similar to Levi's 510s.

Hey guys, quick question...

I've always laid denim out flat and soaked in the tub. If I loosely fold denim and soak in a sink, will it cause any problems?

I just called the APC store in NY, they said that the original standard (same cut as NS with higher rise) is still being produced/sold although they currently don't have many sizes in stock. They will call me back with rise measurements I'll post those.

Yeah, that's well known here. Which explains why there's not a lot of fresh attention on them.

So I just picked up some cheapo h&m sliqs yesterday just to try them out. I sized down at the waist since I know they will probably be stretching, but they didn't have any marking for inseam (numbers only indicated waist size, there was nothing for length) so they are a tad bit long for me. Is there anything I can do to reduce the inseam length without having to pull out scissors and doing some sewing? I believe h&m denim is sanforized so I doubt there would be much shrinkage, but if there is some, it might be enough.

thanks!

hate having to scrub the indigo stains on the tub after a soak, so i always use the kitchen sink [a + that it's stainless ]. but, yea! i don't even bother turning inside-out cuz they just sit there anyway.

I#m looking for a new pair of jeans. My autumn/winter favourite is the Efes Sky, and that's basically what I want in a leighter weight (year-round or summer weight would both be options). No-nonsense styling (though I wouldn't be afraid remove silly stitching if possible) and a 36" inseam are a must. What can you recommend? Oh yeah, I forgot: not too expensive. 200 € would definitely be my limit.
