Thinking those BiGxPBJ might fit the bill though. My old 005 were exactly as you described. Hoping the larger thigh, higher rear rise and taper of the new cut will be different, but not too different. Have some coming in tomorrow, so will try and post fit pics later this week.

Kit - Do you have any experience with Denime, Eternal or Studio D' cuts for the OP? Thinking those might have what he's looking for too.

Nope, the measurements seem to be similar though, but some are higher rise altogether

Cool, I'll check those out. It's a bastard trying to find jeans that bridge straight and skinny that don't have a nut-crushing rise. Of all those I'd probably spring for the skulls, but I hear bad things about the construction quality; crotch blowouts and the like. I figure 1980's in 32x32 would be a perfect fit for me, but I don't want to buy the same brand again.. plus I want something that may fade a little faster. Where can you find those BiG PBJs? I checked through bigs website and couldn't find anything.

Yeah, venture beyond KMW. Great jeans, but there's more... Skulls are excellent jeans but do have design flaws, imo, like the stitching. Very narrow in the hips too. Fast faders though. BiGxPBJ are under 'Blue In Green' as the Brand: http://blueingreensoho.com/site/inde...mart&Itemid=28

The measurements for those look on point. I can almost taste the slub through the net, too... good looking things. Any idea of the stretch involved? True waist is 34; I think I'd grab a pair of 32's which measure to 33 waist post soak. I'm wary of going TTS since of the aforementioned KMW's... fit great out of the package even after several hot soaks and a dryer dry, any more than a few wears results in shitty fits. Now, to jump on those, or shell out twice as much for the IH overdyes?

Jarude I've got some 1980s and im looking for something very similar to you just in a smaller size. Flat Head 1001, SugarCane Straight fitted and SExSC06s are very much like th 1980, but have a higher rise, and slubby denim. I just got thes kmws like 2 months ago or something and I'm already looking at a different fit, but I just hate having jeans where I'm unhappy with part of the fit.

IH are very smooth jeans. And definitely go TTS with PBJs, they'll stretch about an inch in the waist but you're going to pay for it with your hips if you size down

BiG x PBJ 013 have lower f/rise & b/rise than the 005s ... so watch out if you need trunk space. 011s [however] have similar 005 fit, 'cept for the leg opening which are slightly tapered by 0.5" from knee ... plus they're LHT with noice grey weft. if i dint already have 007s, i'd get these.

btw, concur with WH 660s as viable option *** be sure to size down at least 2. also, SD 103 [TTS to +1], if you have patience as a virtue. check out Vashin's ridiculous worn pair [Xposted from "Post Your Denim" thread] :

What's a good pair of slim indigo jeans that have a little more thigh room than KMW rockers? No streaks, slubby is fine, stitching that isn't too high contrast, fades easily, upper price range around $200-250

KMW 1980s

Skull 5507, Flat Head BSP, Momotaro (a maybe on thigh room), I think those WH 660s will be. If you want a little lighter weight denim, Dry Bones Red D's are gonna be fast and a sweet fit. IIIrd and Kit could advise better than me on PBJ. Sams look to be pretty good faders, but mine haven't been so far.

Blue in Green XX-013 - produced by Shoaiya

Starting this year we've begun working on a series of original products which are either store branded or produced exclusively for the store by a select group of our current manufacturers. The latter applies to our first store original denim jean, the Blue in Green XX-013 produced by Shoai-ya, the creators of Pure Blue Japan. We decided to tweak one of their most popular models, the XX-005, with some minor adjustments to the overall fit and detailing, most notably tapering of the straight leg.

The pocket bags were updated to a Ecru herringbone twill cotton. The front rise was shortened by 1/4" while the back rise was shortened 1/2" and the upper thigh was widened a 1/2" to balance out the top block. The leaf embroidery at right rear pocket was changed from White to Blue and we toyed around with the lettering on the patch to display the store name.

We replaced the thick #0 top stitching thread at the inseam with a smaller #3 thread and stitches per inch were increased for a tighter joined seam. The denim is the same 14.5oz selvage indigo denim of the PBJ XX-005.The XX-013 and other store original models will be added to our lineup of regularly produced products, this in contrast to our collaboration efforts which are usually one time productions in limited supply.
