Would APC NS in sz25 fit pretty much the same way as an APC NC sz26 I have sz26 in NC and i was thinking that I could have probably gone slimmer in the top half of the jeans after all the stretching (its nothing ridiculous though, best fit of jeans ive had in my life). The next jeans i am getting, Im wanting jeans that will be slighty looser and less skinny the bottom half but maybe tighter on the thighs. So should I get 25in NS or just a 26 again

I really like the fit of Skull 5010's but I don't really like the branding (skull patch and cross). Another brand I'm interested in is PBJ, would the 005 fit the bill after a hot soak? I'm a little confused about unsanforized sizing (not waist but other measurements).

The PBJ 005 is going to have a slightly looser leg compared to the AJ in the same size. Blue in Green has great sizing charts for both raw and one-washed 005's, but one easy way to check the sizing is just based on the waist size. If you want something that'll shrink down to a 32, look for the pair that measures 32 raw, and the leg measurements will be similar to that once the raw pair shrinks down.

anyone have any recommendations for rag and bone rb11 type fit but with a slimmer leg/hem... i love the fit of mine in the top block but the legs are a bit too loose for my tastes.

... I was thinking go to a tailor, and get him to hem at my heel (i.e. barefoot) ... but then that doesn't allow for stacking etc. Thoughts?

One thing to consider though is what cut of jean you are talking about. I wear fairly slim denim so I think it looks okay with a little extra length. If you are talking about boot-cut denim you probably want it hemmed closer to what you were talking about in your post.

Quoting a previous post (and response) ... hoping for more comments/opinions? cheers!

It's personal preference. Unless you plan on spending most of your time barefoot when wearing jeans, why don't you take a look and see how the jeans look when wearing different shoes and judge from there? I'd say, though, that if you're going to wear your jeans with sneakers then you're going to want at least 1-2" of break depending on the hem size.

I have some s/s 09 routes in the lighterweight denim and i have been wearing them for the past 4 or so months. Its time for a soak but there really isn't significant creasing and combs, as the lighterweight denim doesn't really take creases well. The denim has faded, but I'm afraid if I wash the combs and lap creases will reset. Insight on this?

Yea, I figured hem size would play a big part in the decision (from the previous response) ... and that slim/tapered jeans would need a few extra inches for stacking ... but the one pair I urgently need cuffed are a pair of Nudie RRDS ... so a fairly large opening at the hem ... I'm inclined to hem them as I would a pair of office pants ... would that be considered too short?? Because stacking them just seems to look 'wrong' ...

just figure out how much break you want to have on them

I find that on jeans with >16" leg opening, it ends up underfoot if you try to stack. IMO, stacking only looks good on tapered pairs. I cuffed my 32 inseam AJ's and still get some break, but without the stepping on my jeans part.

And do the googling of measurements for you? Hardly.

OK I looked it up on context Now, will the .5 inch opening difference make a huge difference in fit. Instead of a skinny fit i want more of a straighter regular look to wear with more chunkier boots

Anyone else have suggesting for jeans fitting similarly to the Skull 5010?
