I have a jean...(The Ultimate Jean Thread For Beginners) - ask questions here. - Page 364

quick question on the slim fit 3sixteens.

so I typically wear around a size 30 in most raw denim jeans.
if i may give examples of my jeans:

Wings+Horns slim fit 30 (rather tight)
RRL Washed Slim Bootcut 30 (slightly tight)
Naked and Famous Skinny Guy Silk Denim 30 ( stretched and are just a bit loose)
Rag And Bone RB11 31

I want to pick up the 3sixteens black coated slim fit. The 29 waist supposedly measures 30.5 and it will stretch and inch and a half. The 30 measures around 31.5 I'm assuming I should get the 29, yet I have had issues with sizing down to 29s when I bought the skinny guys in black power stretch. Should I take into account they had a lot of elastane which prevents them from permanently stretching (so i've heard)?

I just don't want them to be loose in the waist after stretching.

thoughts?

After machine washing and the jeans go all crinkley, Do you iron it I hear people generally dont but how do they get it all smooth again? Does the smoothness just come back with wear?

hi i'm a beginner and i need suggestion for essential jeans i dont really wanna do the long term wearing out method, i'd usually wear jeans as i bought it. i basically need the essentials (let's assume i have no jeans at all), a nice blue pair of jeans and especially some of other washes, any essential jeans from popular brands that any 20 year old college student should have? btw i'm rather skinny and 5'5"

Well I got my dry grey coated SJs from FedEx today. Hopefully you guys were right about them not expanding too much because they fit pretty perfectly right now for how I want them, but if the waist gets much larger I might have to order a 29. Also, even though these are the same inseam as my dry broken twill (32), they seem to be at least a good inch or inch and 1/2 longer. Is this normal? (the dry broken twill have not been washed/dried)

Im a Mens Clothing regular but looking for some advice on some new jeans. Until now Ive worn diesel levans, Banana Republic stuff, some sevens, etc. Im looking for something a little slimmer but certainly not skinny jeans. I wear suits to work but need some jeans I can wear with a button down shirt and some RM Williams, maybe a sportcoat, to go to dinner or the bar. Darker wash, no rips or tears, definitely no butt-pocket flair in the style of true religion. Ive tried the non-washable thing once and it didnt work, Im looking for something I can throw in the washer and dryer. Im 6'1, about 175 lbs. I'd like to keep it under $200, less if possible. Any recommendations?

If you're in Arlington you should swing by Farinelli's and see what fits for you. Too bad you missed the Father's Day sale as jeans were 50% off.

My new KMW 1980s fit great in the waist. They are an inch too tight, so I assume they will stretch the right amount and if I size up one they'll stretch too much.

However, they feel a little tight in the crotch area. So when they stretch will they stretch a little around the crotch too, or is that part of the fit going to stay pretty much the same?

do I need to soak my crate routes or do I just throw them on and go?
