Great, thanks. I had never heard of that store or those brands (which is why I am a Noob). I just checked out Farinelli's website. Crate and KMW do look like good candidates. Also like the Jean Shop Rocker jeans they have. I'll stop by the store sometime soon.

Jean Shop is a fantastic brand, too. I own a pair of Skinnys and they're great. Sizing with these brands varies (Jean Shop is oversized by two or three) so definitely stop by the shop to try them on first if you're used to only Levi's. Don't be afraid to ask for some help while there, either.

+1 on Jean Shop. My Rockers are currently the best looking pair of jeans I've ever owned.

I sized down 1 from true waist for Nudie Thin Finn DBC, the waist is comfortable and does not feel tight like my APC NS when I first bought them. The thighs are tight. Should I have sized down 2?

Is there any difference in the thigh measurements between a single size difference in the waist?
I appreciate any Thin Finn DBC fit advice.

1) Probably not

2) Usually; can't speak to TFDC based on experience. However, it's often so small that it's hard to measure accurately. Thigh measurements are one of those things I rarely trust.

Do not size down more than 1 on the Dry Black Coateds; they contain elastane and will not stretch permanently. I speak from personal experience.

They are not loose and they are not tight. They kind of feel like a pair of raws after they have stretched to the right size in the waist. So, the waist should not fit tight like a pair of raw jeans (APC for example)? There was a learning curve to get used to fitting raw jeans properly and now I'm lost when it comes to non-raw. Thanks for the fit advice.

I know TFs can vary on measurements depending on specific models but please don't size down on them. I'm begging you.

Have you only owned a pair of APCs? If so, I think that may be what's tripping you up. Most jeans, raw or otherwise, do not stretch nearly as much as APC raw indigo denim. And as I said before, the Dry Black Coated models will stretch even less than typical 100% cotton jeans, since they contain elastane. If they fit you well right now, keep them. Do not size down more.

A few months ago, I decided to take a break from my skinny jeans kick, and picked up a pair of RB15-B selvage (variant of the RB15, with a cinch back and streaky denim) to try my hand at breaking in raw denim for a while. Anyway, it's been almost 4 months, and I was wondering if anyone else on the forum has experience with Rag and Bone jeans, in terms of shrinking/stretching, and how much indigo the denim retains. I searched the hell out of the internet, and couldn't find much... Regardless, the jeans are beautiful, with numerous details and very sturdy build.

so i'd like to get a pair of raw selvedge jeans in a black, (color similar to these naked and famous ones), but i'd like them in a slimmer cut than the slim guys (i'd like something like the weird guys, but the weird guys dont come in this color) i've seen some black kmw rockers that caught my eye on context, but i'd like to know if there's a black or grey selvedge for less than $200. i know apc has a black new standard, but from what i've read, they aren't selvedge. regardless, i like the color on the naked and famous more than the kmw's, but i feel like fit is more important. thoughts? suggestions?

Hello, I just tried on a pair of KMW 1950, and I really liked them. I will have to return them for 36/34, since 34/34 did not fit. I had tried on a pair of 34/34 2010 and they fit perfectly, but I guess its not the same for the 1950 model. My question is, what major difference is there in fit between the Rinse and the Raw? The KMW 1950 I tried on are in Rinse, or what other brands have the same fit as the 1950. Thank you.

rb denim doesn't shrink much and in my experience doesn't stretch that much, either. The denim they've used, past and present, has always been fairly resistant to fading, more so than the average pair of jeans discussed here. Somewhere in the "Post pics of your denim" thread this guy named cielo (?) posted pics of his rb6's that were nicely faded after a good period of wear. Just trying to give you some hope to stick in there with them. FWIW, I almost picked up your exact pair a few months ago and am still kicking myself about not doing so.
