I'll just go to a tailor as a last resort with whatever jeans I buy if there aren't any Japanese jeans with a Thin Finn fit.

That's tough since generally speaking your choices are either good fit but not Japanese, or Japanese with an okay fit. Somet slims might be a good choice but I'm not sure they'll be more snug than your Skulls. They will have a lower rise and fit much more like Diors though, if that's what you're going for.

Johnbull SC-008s are pretty skinny, too. That's a Japanese brand that I've personally had pretty good experience with. I really like my Johnbulls, but they aren't all selvage.

Does anyone have any information about the PRPS basic selvage fit? I have been searching through various sites and havn't found much about the brand in general. Specifically, the model that is up on denimbar atm.

I'm looking to buy a pair of Lee Jeans, maybe some L2 which are low and slim fit - should i size down at all?

Somet slims look great except for the fact that they're vanity sized, and BiG only has a Size 27, which would equate to a 30 waist according to their charts. I might gamble on it since I feel as though my Skulls' waist has stretched to at least 30". Do you know where to find those SC-008s? They're not on BiG, and Self Edge doesn't carry that brand.

Thanks for your help though! I'm pretty excited about my new pair as I have had my heart set on Flat Head F310s until these Somets came along.

What size do you wear in Nudies? My somets are the same size as my Nudies.

That's a tough question to answer because I've never owned a pair. I did try on a pair of size 30 Slim Jims before I bought my Skulls, and they were loose. I'd say size 28 in Nudies.

Is there anyone from Sydney that can tell me a good place for jeans? APC Rescues, or other cheap-ish ones are what I'm looking for...

two simple questions about nudie slim jim's dry japan: firstly are they true to size? and secondly, will they stretch? Thanks

I need to get some jeans hemmed. I want to preserve the original hem but don't know whether to have the excess fabric cut or just folded inside the leg. Are there any guidelines for this?

newb question but can anyone tell me how kmw 1980's compare with pbj's xx005's? fit, construction, indigo color. or are they even in the same league?

^ You'll also want to find out if your jeans are chain stitched or not. Most tailors that I know of don't chain stitch so if your jeans are, you might have to look around for a place that does.

My only pair of raw denim is the NS, but I'm looking to add a second pair so that I can rotate. I am looking for a comparable fit, perhaps with a slightly wider thigh. Based on my reading of threads, looking at pics/measurements on the Denim Bar site, etc., I believe the 5EPxSF or the KMW 1980s are my best bet. But, I'm deferring to the more knowledgeable members here. Am I on the right track? Also, I'm assuming from my reading that neither the 5EP nor the KMW will stretch much. I'm a natural 34 waist. Should I order a 34 either of those?

Thanks.

I've been wearing a pair of Jims for 8 months. When I first got them they were pretty tight in the thigh area. Now they have stretched a lot and are much looser in the thigh area. Will Thin Finns also exhibit this? I've heard since they have 2% stretch material they really won't stretch that much in the long run.
