Okay, I think I understand the disagreement. Basically, I'm basing my advice on true waist size rather than "regular" jean size, because I think it's too much trouble to provide specialized advice in relation to every other brand of jeans, all of which vary in sizing. With that in mind, here are the facts, as I see them: - APCs measure 2 inches larger than tagged when brand new. - APCs can stretch up to 3 inches in the waist. - A pair of jeans that measures 1 inch larger than your waist (at the point you wear them) will fit you perfectly. Based on these facts: - If I have a 30 measured waist, a pair of APCs tagged 29 (measured 31) will fit me perfectly when brand new. - Taking into account stretch, however, it's best for me to size down at least 1 (to tagged 28), but I can wear any size down to a 26 and expect the waist to eventually stretch to fit me, since tagged 26 = measured 28 + 3 inches stretch = measured 31 (the ideal for a 30 waist). Any points you disagree on?
