I have a jean...(The Ultimate Jean Thread For Beginners) - ask questions here. - Page 268

I wouldn't worry about indigo on furniture unless you have it's a really light color. Even my Paul Smith jeans, which bled WAYYYYYYY more than any other jeans I've ever owned, didn't bleed on furniture.

.... shoes, however, are a completely different story....

Thanks, everyone.

Also wouldn't climb on any shiny metal object.

I climbed on my dryer to look out a window and the my jeans left a nice blue mark on top of the dryer. Most of it came out

Yeah, and I was wondering if they were new since the actual pictures look different from the one on here:

Just wondering maybe if they've been washed even though it says new.

I like a lot of what the KMW and NDG's are all about except that they have large low back pockets. On the other hand, the APC NC's are a little too extreme, so something inbetween. I'll drop the price limit criteria if that helps open options, assuming I can always wait for a deal or get second-hand. Thanks
Crate makes some jeans with very low rise and, in turn, a shorter back rise (and shorter yoke); but IIRC the route has quite a substantial rise and is not the one you would be looking for. Depending on how tapered you'd want them to be, I would also recommend RRL Slim Fit, Acne Mic, or Skull 5010xx. PS You're probably not interested in dark grey jeans, but I have measurements listed for the Acne Mic in my signature if you want to get a better idea for it. It comes in a lot of different washes, so you might be able to find something you like.

Hello all. Bit of a problem. The crotch on my slim jims felt quite thin recently, but I ignored it since the seam seemed like more of a concern to me (it ain't looking too great either.) But today, the thin spot fell apart. There is now a large hole in my jeans that looks like it'll be awkward to patch. Pics below. I threw them in the wash () so that the loose material would go and leave what I could actually sew too. Thank God none of the white thread is damaged. Any suggestions on how best to go about a patch on this? I figure zig-zaging might not be the solution. I could just leave it there for a heavily rocked look, but considering the placement I may be arrested. Cheers, Kevin. EDIT: Even I don't know why I needed to post successive close-ups of my crotch. Hey, I figure y'all ain't here to judge.

it should be fine to patch.

By sewing straight over white thread? Doesn't seem like that would hold well.

- I'm a 28 natural waist and short, so I need a slight taper to get a straight-leg silhouette.
- KMW Rockers come in a 32 inseam which would be fine, Somets are a 36 so they'd need to be hemmed
- I have a pair of other jeans with a 6.25 in leg opening which I think is too skinny. In a tagged size 26, KMW Rockers have a 6.5 in leg opening and Somet 003s have a 7 in. leg opening. A 7 in. leg opening would be ideal but the Somets look looser overall which would not work for me. I've heard people on here saying that Somet 003s fit looser than APC NS, but NS (even sized down) are somehow really baggy on me which seems to indicate that Somet 003s wouldn't fit me the way I want them to.

Any advice would be appreciated!

Properly sized Somets are definitely not looser than APC NS. Somet 003s have a slight taper, the Rockers have a pronounced taper.

If you really felt that APC sized down 2 was still too baggy for you, then you're probably pretty skinny and the Rocker will probably be a better fit overall.

hi im trying to cop a pair of nice jeans but im new to this so wondering if i could get some advice. i wear regular levi 514s and im like in between sizes between a 29x29 and a 30x30. im trying to get a pair that has a smaller leg opening and slimmer in general compared to the 514s. i was looking at new cures and new standards. any suggestions?

^ APC NS is slimmer than the 514 provided you size them correctly (try a 26 or 27; don't worry if you can't button them up, they'll stretch like crazy). NC is much skinnier, even more so than the 511.

i'll try on some 511s and check out the fit. are the new standards a lot slimmer compared to the 514s?
