+1 on the KMW recommendation. I almost copped a pair of rocker at 50% off from the farinelli's sale, but alas, they sold out of my size before I could do so. Anyway, the zimbabwean cotton, rope-dyed indigo, etc. at KMW's reasonable price point is pretty damn impressive. Anyway, does anyone have experience with having the seat taken in or having dior-esque "ass darts" put on jeans? My NC's fit perfectly in the legs and waist, but the seat & front top block are a bit more relaxed than I'd like them to be.

I'm looking to get my 2nd pair of raw denim. I have APC Rescues in size 29, they fit about perfect in the waist (could be half an inch smaller), but I'd like something that has a little more room in the thighs. Does anyone make a cut with a better thigh to waist ratio for me? I'm thinking Nudie regular ralph in 31, sugar canes 1947 size?, or something else.

Also how do the non raw 5ep low down zips fit, and what size should I get? I'm probably grabbing a pair of these as well, just because I can get a pair for only $100.

Acne mic

yay or nay?

^yay. I think they look good, and mic's don't stretch hardly at all in my experience.

Look into some japanese denim on blue in green, they typically have much roomier things for comparable slimness in the waist and below the knee. Obviously, check the measurements.

I just bought my first pair of dry denim, nudie SJDJ during Mauro's black friday weekend sale. I have noticed that the right leg has a really strange twist in it and it is very bothersome. After looking at a lot of other pictures of nudies, I feel like this is not a common thing. Is there any way to fix the leg twist? What do you guys suggest doing about it?

Looking at these RRL Straight selvage jeans listed on here:

http://www.styleforum.net/showthread.php?t=91930

How do those measurements compare to a size 33/34 Nudie Regular Ralfs and is RRL known to stretch at all, waist & length? Is this a good price? THanks.

leg twist is a common thing in jeans. there is no way to fix it, just wear them

How tight should jeans fit in the waist area? I recently took my jeans to a tailor to get them shortened (not relevant) and he said my jeans wear to loose in the waist. When I bought my diesel jeans they were really tight in the waist but have loosened up since then. Im sure its from sitting down and my leg muscles contracting. I'm pretty athletically built on top of this (big legs small waist). If my jeans stay up around the waist even without a belt (and don't move with a belt) are they too big around they waist or should I just ignore his comment because with a smaller waist size comes a smaller inseam making them a lot tighter.

If you feel like doing some research as to why leg twists happen, you will discover a few theories. But if you're just wondering if this is supposed to happen or not, the answer is yes. This happens with all brands of jeans, not just Nudies. It happens with $20 jeans and it happens with $600 jeans.

I understand its all in the weave of the fabric. Is there no way to correct it? Should I stop trying to twist my leg around when wearing it?

I want a pair of skinnier jeans Acne Max Cash, in overcoated black. Any suggestions? Dior 19 cm could probably do they job, but I think they're too expensive. Tried on some April 77 dictators in some kind of washed black, and kind of liked the narrow hem, but the color was wrong. Having trouble finding the black ones (Intensity?) in online stores. Why is there so little info on April 77s on SF?

Appreciate any help!

I just purchased my first pair of raw selvage denim and I am also experiencing leg twist. My observation has been that it occurs due to how the fabric conforms to my knees when my legs are bent. At first I twisted them back to straighten them out, but I found that they would just return to being twisted. I've since left them as this is naturally what the jeans want to do when I wear them. I don't see the point in trying to change that.

There is a lot of info on April 77 over on Superfuture. Look for the dedicated thread in the Superdenim forum. They're not so popular around here because most of the cuts are very skinny. I like the label though. It's got a punk rock feel to it. Alos, the supermarket is flooded with April 77 jeans. You can easily pick up a pair for less than $100.

Nudies should not have leg twist being sanforized denim. If you get Eternal's, SDA's, Samurai's, etc...then there will be leg twist. I have many jeans- many with leg twist and 2 pairs of Nudies that do not, and should not have lg twist.

My bet, without seeing the jeans, is that they are either cut funny (a flaw) or there is no leg twist. Does the twist make the jeans "twisted"? I mean do he lgs fall straight but the seam does not or is the leg wonky?

No it does not. It happens with unsanforized jeans. It has never happened to any pair of jeans I have that were raw or not if they were sanforized.

Also, I think you will find that most, if not all, jeans with a zipper fly will not have leg twist too.
