Hey guys, i just got me a pair of APC Petit Standards. I couldn't button the top 2 buttons when i tried them on at the store. At home i tried them on, an hour later, i could button them all. I'm worried they will stretch too much, will they?

papercut, you lost some water weight or tried them on after eating? Anyway, I'm sure you'll be good as-is.

Any opinions on the Freemans Sporting Club denim (fit, quality, color)? I can't find anything about them anywhere. Thanks!

Yeah i guess i did eat before trying them on. My thighs couldn't fit through the size 25 so i do sure hope it won't crazy stretch on me. Thing is, people have been saying it takes at least 20 wears or so to stretch to fit. I took an hour, though of it just scares me.

just picked up my first pair of raw selvedge jeans and was wondering, is there anyway to keep the raw and dark color?

one wash is essentially shrink to fit yes?

sorry for the questions.

I have been wearing APC News Standards in a 28 for the last year or so. They are starting to fail in areas so its time for something else. Right now im looking at the Iron Heart 9634 super black in a 31. I am hoping the 21oz material will hold up a bit better, and the black will prevent stains from showing as badly as an indigo dye. The 28 APCs fit a bit snug. Going by the measurements it looks like the 31 iron hearts should be just a bit more relaxed. Please correct me if I am wrong. Also I have not been able to find any fit pictures short of the self edge website. If anyone has some please PM me or post to this thread if its easier. -Ryan edit: Is Self Edge currently offering any discounts?

I've been interested in trying some raw denim but want something in my price range. I was looking at Good Society and was wondering how the quality is? What do you think of these http://www.shopdetour.com/product/gd...mmens-raw.html?

No. One wash means they have been washed once, thus will generally not shrink at all on the first wash. This is good, because even sanforized jeans will shrink a little bit in the first wash. Shrink to fit is pretty much the opposite of one wash. STF jeans are unsanforized, and thus will shrink 2 or more sizes in the waist when you wash them. You do not want to confuse the two, or you'll have big problems sizing your jeans.

I have a pair of Nudie RRDS, and after a few months of wear, they've stretched and I've shrunk. Is it possible to shrink them back to tagged? I'm thinking either a trip in the dryer or a soak (with me wearing them?) will get the waist back to a wearable size. Would either of these work? My preference would be for the soak...

Could someone answer this, please? It's kind of important...

Are APC NS still the gold standard for entry level jeans with a slight taper? I'm used to wearing straight fit denim (Jean Shop Rockers, Nudie AJ) but I figure it's time to take advantage of some of these holiday sales and step outside of my comfort zone for a little bit and try something new. Other recommendations would be greatly appreciated.

APC doesn't go on sale. If Crate has a tapered fit, that might be the way to go.
