BTW, there's nothing wrong with Crate but if you're that serious about the 35" inseam then I wouldn't want you to break them in, lose an inch in just the creases, and then be unhappy.
Hmm... okay, thanks. Which model would you specificially recommend? Especially fit-wise?

What about Ironhearts? Your post instantly made me think of A Harris' recent WAYWT post: http://www.styleforum.net/showthread...tp#post1476942 Mature without being oldmanish.

It sounds like you have a rough idea of what you want. Check out blueingreensoho.com and just go by price, then inseam, and finally fit. There should be only a handful that'll show up on your radar.

Another option is Ande Whall. Custom made to any inseam, and definitely within your budget.

Good call. Wish more "our" market brands would be longer inseams as default but then that would make PG2G happy and nobody wants that. I will admit, though, that is nice to just pick up a pair of jeans and wear them the same day without fussing over a tailor.

Thanks both. I'll def look into Ande Whall. I just stumbled over Esef Oris, they actually are on sale right now ($100). I heard somewhat shady things about the company though. Would it be advisable to buy them? edit: after a little searching, it doesn't seem to be the best of ideas. I stand to be corrected, though. 2nd edit: damn, those stylized wings on the back pockets of the Ande Whalls really turn me off.

If I can fit into a Nudie Slim Jim 33 waist, what size would be good for me in the average joe? Would I also have to go with a 33 or down to a 32. Also, I'm only 5'8 and usually wear a 30 length. If I don't want any stacking should I just go with a 32 L?

Another quick question: Can I just go to any dry cleaner/alteration place to get jeans hemmed? I mean I've had trousers hemmed before and it didn't look complicated at all. They can't really mess up can they?

Not sure about now, but I know backpocket design has been customizable in the past. I'd just email Ande.

Edit: guess not. That's a shame.

Cultizm has LVC at 38" inseam off the rack. They're shrink-to-fit, so the inseam should come down to 35-36" when all said and done.

I think you can reasonably answered all of your own questions. In case you need second opinion, then 33 waist and 30 length, respectively.

If I buy these jeans from revolve will they ship like that? With the prefading? http://ns1.revolveclothing.com/image...DI-MJ85_V1.jpg

I just got a pair of APC Rescue size 30 and have worn them for 2 weeks straight. The thighs have barely stretched out at all and are cramping my balls. The waist on these fit fine but its really tight around the groin and thighs, since I have bigger legs.

Should I bump up to a 31 or even 32 and sacrifice the waist to get a slightly looser thigh or just try a whole new brand? (I have a pair of Nudie Ralfs in 33/34 and the thigh is about perfect but I want a pair with a little more breathing room in the upper leg and waist, hence the rescues.)

Why wouldn't they?

I recently bought some APC Nc's from a forum member off of ebay for 70 dollars. They were lightly used for a month and dry cleaned once. Is it a bad idea to buy raw denim that has been used? Edit: Will the fades i get not be as good?

Wear your APC as long as possible in unwashed raw condition and after 1-2 years you'll get real nice whiskers and the typical dirty shiny raw denim look, which all denim heads are driving nuts. Believe me I know what I'm telling after 35 years of collecting real roughest vintage or raw denim rag items!! By the way, the Jeansmuseum is the right place for really retired raw denim rag items, so nobody has to dump his raw denim stuff anymore!!! They don't deserve it!!
