If the thighs stretch a bit with wear I'm good or if i end up washing them at some stage am I screwed? What are people's thoughts on the fit?

I always have the same problem. I'm a 33 waist. 34s fall down and bunch at the waist when I pull the belt tight enough to keep them up. 32s are always tight in the thigh. Next time get the size up and get the waist taken in. But to answer your question the thighs will loosen with wear. I have a bunch of old pants that are 32s that are still tighter in the thighs but not as tight as they were when they were brand new.

How's stretch on SDA SD-101XXs? Would tagged 31s stretch out back to their pre-soak/wash size?

My measured waist is 33. I'm trying to decide whether to get tagged 33s or 33s (33 pre-soak, per BiG).

possibly a dumb question, but is this a "fake" selvedge line?

they're 100% japanese cotton gabardine pants from apc (http://usonline.apc.fr/men/clothing/pants-jeans/petit-new-standard-cobev-m09047#Black&38):

I'm looking for a slim/skinny pair of jeans, but with a bit more room at the bottom, and a better ass shape :)

I got Nudie HIgh Kai, and Nudie long john that i've worn for a long time. Dont get me wrong i like them but i want something that shapes around the bottom.

What i dont want:

I dont want that sag, So i've been thinking of Acne max, or ace. stay cash.

But i'm abit worried that they are too loose and it's hard to tell from model to model how the bottom shapes.

Not sure to get the high rise(ace) or max(low rise). Does anyone know if anything else differs them?

Also i wonder, if i buy, say a 27/32. I'm pretty short, so i have to get a hem. Will they alther the fit of the knee?(as in, is it better to get a pair that's made for shorter people) I dont know if my knees are extra pointy or if i'ts the hem, becouse on my nudies, when i bend my leg abit, it get's super pointy and weird.

Could use some feedback here.... These fit fine everywhere else.... Should I have them altered in the waist? Or just belt it? I can't return them :(

You look like you are sucking in your stomach. so it's hard to how much extra space there actually is.  If they are falling off, they yes, you'll need to get them altered, or just sell them.  Otherwise, maybe just sag them a bit?

Anyone know what the stretch on a pair of Geller Type 1 jeans is? If not, how likely are a pair of 98% cotton and 2% spandex washed jeans to stretch an inch in the waist?

Can't believe I haven't found this thread until now. I am still a denim novice, so this is where I belong.

I am looking for a pair of go-to "dressy" jeans that can be worn at night. To me, what qualifies as dressy is a dark color, a slim fit with a narrow leg opening (to wear with sleek shoes/boots), a rise appropriate to tuck my shirt in, and a mid weight (14+ oz.). My experience so far is with APC, Gustin, and Epaulet Wilshires, but I think I'm ready for something more niche. I am deciding between 3sixteen's shadow selvedge (ST-120x) and perhaps Big John Slim Tapered (M106D). Any thoughts on either of these?

I am open to other suggestions as well. I prefer something more "luxe" than workwear. I have been recommended brands like Acne, but found the rise too low. Anything in the 200$ price range is fine if it's worth it.

A cotton/spandex blend will stretch an inch in the waist. After a wash they may shrink, but stretch back out much more quickly than pure cotton.

When I wear these at normal waist (like the pics), I have maybe 2.5 inches I can pull without much force. Maybe it's easier to see in these?

Yeah, you are going to just either get new jeans, or get on a steady diet of 3 cheeseburgers a meal, fries, and a shake.  No way that you can get those to work for you without drastic alterations, which can easily throw off the balance, particularly of the pockets.

Recently bought two pairs of jeans from two different retailers.  Both pairs have unnatural creasing/wrinkles at the bottom of the legs.  Someone please set my mind at ease and tell me this is not something I need to give any thought to.  Why would wrinkles of this nature appear on a brand new pair of premium denim, something to do with storage perhaps?  My apologies for what is probably a very basic / simple question, I know very little.
