I have a jean...(The Ultimate Jean Thread For Beginners) - ask questions here. - Page 1339

Can I get recommendations on a slim straight jean that I might be able to find in a 31"-32" or a 31"-33"? My waist is small, but my legs are a bit longer with thighs on the large side, so anything too slim is skin tight, but I'm not a big fan of boot or straight.

i think you might be looking for denims that will stretch to your thigh with comfortable waist within your size range, am i correct?

well, its easy you have a very common size so it would be easier for you to look for one.

if you dont mind , you might be able to check out some jeans from this guy on ebay

seller 805player123  , you can go to ebay advance search and select seller and type in the name

he has lots of great denims within your size range.

For years I wore Diesel distressed jeans....they're overpriced, poor quality fashion jeans, rarely made in Italy and even my Diesel leather jacket ripped.

For the same $$$ you can get good quality Japanese jeans that will last much longer which you can personalise.

I don't want to put you off if you like them - that's just my personal opinion:)

My 2 recommendations in this price range are:

Nudies(Swedish) but lots of choice and top quality

Naked and Famous - made in Canada from Japanese denim and come in a big variety of colours

Let me know which you chose, if either, and whether they fitted your criteria

Happy jeans shopping!!smile.gifsmile.gifsmile.gif

Hi, what is the best way to shrink a pair of raw or non-sanforized denim jeans without damaging or losing its original quality? I'd like to make sure that my jeans won't shrink after hemming with union special chain-stitcth machine.

Is there a benefit in soaking a sanforized pair of raw jeans before wearing them for the first time?

Thanks a lot!, what about Crate? I read there are pretty good, but I can´t find them online

I have been wearing raw denim for the last three years. Several projects that are on going include Nudie, N&F, and Unbranded.

I just picked up a pair of Levi's 511 from a local Mashalls for a great price. I was wondering if anyone can help me identify the wash. I tried searching the wash number but came up empty. They appear to have a black coat or indigo that rub off quite easily on them. The denim stood out as they have red stitched selveged outseams and coin pocket. Can anyone help identify them?

I am getting Nudie Straight Alf, Blue legitimate wash, it seems to be what I am looking for.

Without the light blue distressed factor in mind, what are the best brands for quality in the 150 dollars range?

Best regards

Sounds like you made a great choice!

Can't wait to see fit pics

Naked and Famous do plain denim as well as fun jeans, so I'd recommend those, or Levi's for more durable jeans:)

Do they have any distressing or anything on the front?

Also, I've been wanting to get a cement-colored jean for a while- but I'm 6'6. The closest I can find is

http://us.levi.com/product/index.jsp?productId=29038796&f=SizeGeneral%2FSQ000004840QS36W+X+36L&fbc=1&lmdn=Size&fbn=null%7C36W+X+36L&

But it has like ~~6% Polyester, 2% Elastane.

The last time I bought a pair of jeans with elastic (2% Spandex Gap jeans) they bulked out like two sizes when I wore them. How much would 8% go?
