I have a jean...(The Ultimate Jean Thread For Beginners) - ask questions here. - Page 1302

The last time I wore jeans was years ago before I wore properly fitting clothes. I'm a graduated hipster so I've owned several pairs of Dior, apc, and earnest sewn jeans of which all were skinny so form fitting making my legs look awful. When I look at pictures of myself wearing them it looks utterly ridiculous.

Well, I jumped the gun. Just got out of Blue in Green and got these:

I liked the feel, only ones that I liked the silhouette on, kind of. They kept trying to get me to go slimmer, but these felt good. Forgot how comfortable jeans could be actually...

cool pB... those NC (no change) blacks just got me thinking about a pair as well because black jeans always end up grey and then they remind me of my grit ball cousin's wardrobe... shitty formerly black jeans, ripped up Metallica t-shirt and greasy long hair!

Funny how they always try to get you into slimmer jeans regardless of what looks good but glad you found something... did you get much of a deal or retail?

My girlfriend hates them, she doesn't like black jeans, but i do. I mean it worked for the velvet underground right?

As per usual pB had no choice but paying retail. frown.gif

Rising Sun jeans are outstanding!!! I have a pair of Reliable Painters -- stellar quality and attention to detail. Dare I ask where you found them at 50% off?

Are PaulRose jeans any good? I was looking at the Slim Heavy Indigo Slub. I could get them at a discount.

anyone know where I can get measurements for the rising suns? I wanted a pair of the straight razors but theres no measurements anywhere. I wear a size 28 in Rogue Territory stantons and ususally wear a size 29/30 in other brands.

Also anyone know where I can get some pictures of fades or anything? Cant seem to find much anywhere.

I don't own a pair but I have tried them on before. Same owners as naked and famous. The 17oz fabric is nice and heavy and construction looks good but the rise is pretty short which I didn't like. Def try it on before buying it

from my experience with other rising sun jeans, the waist was a little larger than tagged...in fact the top block felt a little larger than i expected. i remember having to size down one than normal to get a good fit.

Trying to compile a list of jeans that fit like Sugar Cane 1947 size 36, so when they pop up on ebay I can buy them. So what else fits like them?

Would appreciate some recommendations for a new pair of jeans.

I recently bought a pair of 3sixteen SL-100X in size 33. These fit me big in the waist and seat and a bit tight over the thighs. Ideally they would have a slimmer waist and seat area, while the thigh remained the same or marginally larger. Perhaps with a slightly lower rise and narrower leg opening. I have the same problem with APC and other brands I've tried, the waist and seat area always end up being one or two sizes too big. I'm tall and have a slim athletic build, an inseam >34" would be nice although not absolutely crucial.

The measurements from blue owl for the SL-100X:

* Size 33 (34.5" waist, 11.25" rise, 12.25" thigh, 8.8" knee, 37" inseam, 8.25" leg opening)

Any brands and cuts you recommend? Thanks

I am having trouble finding a good slim pant for my long legs. The pants I own now, which are levi's 521's 30 by 32, are to short. I looked around my mall and I cant find any slim jeans that are 30*34.

Also, I found that My levis are a bit tight on my thighs.

Any suggestions?

It seems we may be in the same boat.

I've been wearing denim a lot more and I love my rinsed selvedge levi's 501s.

I am after my second pair of denim and am looking for something in a 36" waist with a 12" rise minimum, a 13.5" thigh and a 8.5" -  9" leg opening.. I would prefer a rinsed non-raw, or a sanforized and rinsed raw, something dark and clean.

Most brands/cuts I've discovered tell me to size down for stretch, but when I size down the rise decreases.

I could just buy another pair of regular 501's, but that would be boring tongue.gif

Can anybody help me out?
