Does RPMWEST look to be a good entry level denim? $95 bucks for 14.5oz from Japan..I'm also considering Unbranded. Thoughts?

On the list for consideration already:

Momotaro 1705
Taylor Stitch 9oz
Something from N&F, although I don't love their cuts

Thanks!

saw these at Freeman Sporting Club. they're trousers but made of lightweight denim: http://shop.freemanssportingclub.com/products/winchester-trouser-7

yeah definitely check out distorbiant's suggestion with Gustin. There's also another new brand called Brave Star Selvage that will have 4 different cuts at around $79-100 or so.

Looking for some washed jeans that look similar to this:

I've always had Levi's and was planning on getting another pair...what wash would you recommend? With that said, I am down to go with another brand, I'm just not sure what's out there that would fit the bill. Any recommendations?

Right now I'm wearing some 511's. One pair is a little bit too tight (particularly in the thigh) while the other is maybe slightly too baggy. I'm looking for a pair with a cut similar to the one in the picture (maybe a wee bit baggier). If I do go the Levi's route, I was going to look at: 501's, 513's, 508's, 514's and 511's (again). I'm 6'1" and ~160 pounds. Right now my 511's are 32x34.

So...what do you guys think? Price range is $50-75. I could do sub-$100 if you guys think it's worth the price.

Also, unrelated, but does anyone know what shoes those are in the picture?

Thanks!

Hey guys,

I'm looking for a new pair of jeans and wanted to stop by to see what you guys think. I'm looking for some washed jeans with no distressing. I'm trying to find a wash similar to this:

http://imgur.com/QudLU

I realize that these are raw denim but don't quite have the funds to drop that much yet. My budget is $50-75 dollars. I'd be willing to spend a bit more if you guys think it's worth it though. I'm 6'1" and ~160 pounds. I would like the fit to be similar to the one in the picture. Maybe slightly baggier, not much though. I'm currently a 32x34 in 511's. They fit me okay. I have 2 pairs, one is a little bit tight in the thigh. The other is a wee bit baggy. I was planning on checking out the 501's, 508's, 513's, and the 514's. I'll probably try some 511's on again as well. I'm open to try other brands as well as long as they meet all the criteria. To be honest, I just don't really know what else is out there, I've always had Levi's. I've heard H&M has some nice, affordable ones that might be worth a look. So...what do you guys recommend?

Also, unrelated but do you guys know what kind of shoes the model is wearing in the picture that I posted?

Thanks!

The jeans in those photos look like they have a sewn and pressed cuff, so that's actually the outside. But what you're looking for is anything with a indigo weft (or fill, or core) instead of a white weft. Some other options:

Suggestions on finding a pair of jeans that fit properly would be... great. Waist is about 30", thighs are a bit over 23.5" in circumference. T_T

my friend first your wearing that particular pants too high for your jewels in particular. second you would need a high rise pants if you insist on wearing pants that high to give jewels space.

with that kind of build you would be good with a straight leg or tiny bootcut.

Lololol trust me I did not for one second consider buying those, was just trying them on. And I only took a pic because it was hilarious.

IIRC these were Levi 550s, does that look like a proper fit? The 550s are "relaxed at seat and thigh" and "slightly tapered" at the leg.

Quoting this post: http://www.styleforum.net/t/131495/random-fashion-thoughts/58440#post_5435595

"A hard taper below the knees in conjunction with minimal stacking will make your legs seem slimmer and longer."

So is there anything similar (relaxed/loose seat+thighs) but with a harder taper?

if your going for gangster look yes. but for a grown man or young adult that is a terrible look if you ask me. what you probably want is a mid to high rise with a drop yoke with a hem opening of 8" min/max. then get the knees darted a bit. that advice was meant if your going for a straight leg or slim straight leg if your brave icon_gu_b_slayer[1].gif

also love of god make sure the inseam length is your proper one and judging by the 32" inseam pic you posted you probably need a 30 min with a cuff.
