Hey, new to Raw denim (this is my first pair), could use some advice. I tried on a pair of size 30 Baldwin Henleys in a store and they fit nicely. Looking to save a few bucks, I kept my eyes on ebay and found a size 29, which I bought, figuring they would probably stretch out to fit like the 30's from the store.
I just got them and the waist is much too big and the legs are too tight (they are pretty much skin tight). The waist measures to about 17" when laid flat on the floor. My true waist is about a 31.
The seller told me that they normally wear size 29 or 30 waist size and that these fit their waist great. Also, they said these have been worn about 10 times. I tried returning them and they refuse.
So my questions are: does it sound like this person exceedingly stretched the waist? I suppose I could get by with a belt, but I'd rather they actually fit like they are supposed to. Do you think that the legs will stretch out at all (could I soak and stretch them?) Could I try to shrink just the waist by dipping a few inches in hot water?
Jeans aren't supposed to be this much of a pain in the ass.
Thanks in advance!
