I have a jean...(The Ultimate Jean Thread For Beginners) - ask questions here. - Page 1241

denim noob needs some help.

I have exactly one pair of jeans - some Agave Wayfarer - very relaxed and comfortable. I'm a fairly thin guy (5'10"/170/32 inch waist) but my butt and thighs are bigger than average.

Could someone point me in the direction of a "like" jean to that of above, or something very relaxed for those of us with some "junk..."? I need to branch out from one pair of jeans!?!?

TIA.

I looked online and those look HUGE -  http://www.sierratradingpost.com/agave-denimsmith-cortez-wayfarer-jeans-for-men~p~18837/

Are they somewhat '90's rapper in cut?  I'm not sure I can help you if so.  APC Rescue's are fairly loose-fit, though.

I bought my first pair (actually two pairs - Levis Hesher and a Matchstick) of Selvedge jeans the other day at Nordstrom Rack for $45. I usually wear an inseam of 30, but they only had the Matchsticks in 32. Do you think I should wear them cuffed or does the length work for me? Pics are below. Appreciate the input - thanks.

^looks kinda sloppy where the jeans hit your shoes. You can probably hem 1.5-2inches (and still do a single cuff), especially if you're gonna be wearing them with non-sneakers. 2 would probably be better since you really need to sag little judging by how nut-hugging they are in the first pic.

Out of those 2, def cuffed

Hey SF, I'm in the market for my second pair of raw denim. My first pair was a JBrand Kane Raw size 36x32. I have lost a bit more weight and really need a size 35. (34 is really too small and I'd like to wear them comfortably from day one) I know this is a tough size to find, but does anyone have any advice? I'd like a medium/thicker weight denim. Definitely a deep/dark finish in a straight leg fit. I can spend ~$200 or so. Any input would be really appreciated. I'm 6'2 200lbs athletic build also. I don't stack my jeans, but am a huge sneakerhead and wear a lot of Nike/Jordans as well as typical desert boots. I hope that's enough info to get a few good suggestions. If I don't get any answers I'll just head to Neiman and hope for the best!

Thanks, those look nice but was hoping for a size 35. I'll look for a few days before I end up pulling the trigger on a 36. Thanks for the input though!

I typically wear a 36 in chinos and stuff. I am just wearing the 34 and hoping for that inch of stretch. Will let you know. But you could always buy 36

Yea I hear yah, I'm just a little nervous buying a 34 and spending 220+tax/shipping, knowing it won't fit me right away. I guess that's the denim game. Maybe I'll buy 2 pair, one cheaper size 36 I can wear right away and then get a really nice 34 and take some time to properly break them in...hmm

I always buy from a place that accepts returns (meaning they give me money back... not allow for exchanges for store refund). The 34s measurement around 35-35.5" so that means with an inch of stretch they should fit perfectly

Looking for a pair of jeans similar or exactly like the Farnielli x Crate collaboration a few years ago. Skinny but not ball-hugging tight. Dark denim but I don't think it's raw, at least doesn't feel as stiff. I think the denim was from Cone Mills? Who else makes a similar pair?

I need some temporary inexpensive jeans while I lose weight. Since I'm looking to lose close to 50 lbs, I really don't want to spend a lot on the transition jeans. Right now, I'm thinking something by Levi. For reference of style that I like, I have three pairs of Diesels - only one fits. I believe two of them are viker, and one is dughan. Generally I prefer dark jeans, but am open to new styles. My waist size is 38-40 ish, I'm ~6'2", 230 lbs.

I'll be in Chicago this weekend, so I'll be visiting the Levi store. I may check out Nordstrom rack. What jeans should I look for in the $50-$100 range? Are there any specific places I should keep in mind?

Can someone recommend a pair of dry selvedge with a rise similar to the apc ps but looser thighs than the apc ns? I bought my first pair of apc ns 2 months ago hoping the thighs would stretch but they are still too tight.

New Cures are more tapered, you could try getting NCs then sizing up.
