Someone who wears size 28 in Nudie Slim Jims should wear size ____ in APC New Cure.

???

Whatever your actual size is subtract one.  Check the APC thread for more info

The selvage listing looks good. The inseam looks crap. What's with the piece of extra fabric?

That's what i was wondering. I went ahead and kept them because i got a good deal and the seller refunded a little extra money to get the hem cleaned up.

What is a good black jean recommendation with around a 32 waist, 11.5-12 inch thigh, 8 inch knee, 7-7.5 inch hem. Preferably a non raw.

Hey guys, new here today. Been reading/researching a ton on this website and finally joined. Going to start my raw denim adventure when the next paycheck comes in. I have decided on APC PS and am pretty confident I know which fit to go with but thought I'd seek out some advice. I usually wear 30/32s in Levi 511 jeans. They are not super skinny on me, and I love the fit. Debating between 28s and 27s for the PS. My legs are sticks. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

could someone recommend a pair of slim black jeans with a mid/high rise (10.5+)? the only kind I've been able to find so far are LVC 1967 505's in black overdye but I dislike the distressing.

27 will make you infertile...if ur between 30-32 normally, I'd go with a 29, or 28 at the very tightest. ime they don't stretch nearly as much as some people claim. Also remember, smaller sizes have less material = less stretch potential.

edit: Oh, and welcome smile.gif

non raw? do you mean non unsanforized/shrink to fit?

try the NF solid black weird guys in 30.  or just the normal black selvedges.  i feel the solid blacks have a nicer colour and the normal blacks arent really that black

These are the measurements of my black Dior 19cm jeans:

Dior 19cm tagged 29

Waist:  32"

Inseam: 36"

Front Rise:  9.25"

Leg Opening:  7"

Knee:  8.75

Upper Thigh:  11"

Of course, they've stretched out from use.  Dior might be too expensive for you, but you can sometimes get them used for a steal.

This is bad advice.  I have roughly those same measurements and the N&F wg cut looked awful on me; also he'd need a 31.

My best-fitting pair of jeans are a black pair of Balenciaga's in a 32 that I got off B&S for $160.  They show up on yoox sometimes, but are a little more, like $250, but the returns are only $6 so it might be worth trying out - they pretty much meet your specifications exactly (18cm hem).  If you want something heavier, you can go with any of the denimbro brands and just compare measurements, but I feel like black jeans are the easiest color to find a really good deal on sale, so keep an eye out in the sale thread on here too.

Long time reader but still a newbie so don't bite my head off please. Done a search of the thread and still clueless.

Looking for black coated or waxed jeans. The Nudie ones that are always mentioned are sold out I seem to see everywhere. I can only see them on eBay. Dior in the UK don't seem to have them on the website.

Only been able to find these so far http://www.zara.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product/uk/en/zara-W2012/269235/825168/BLACK%20TAG%20WAXED%20JEANS

Could anyone give me some other links please? Would prefer cheaper but up to $400 it okay

Thanks

My dry-cleaner hemmed my last pair like that because her machine couldn't sew through the extra thickness of that flat-felled seam.
Since you're a 32, you won't be cuffing and so that little flap won't be an issue.

Can anyone recommend the best value raw denim jeans at around $100-$110?

I know that's limiting compared to most $200-$300+ pairs, but I want to go easy on my first pair of raw jeans, in case I fuck anything up.

I'm seen some Naked & Famous, Left Field NYC, and Diamond Mine brand jeans for around that price point, sometimes online (which makes me nervous re: fit).

What are the best brands around $100 and what's the best place to find them? Online distributors? Ebay and classifieds? Boutiques or thrift shops?
