Jeans too tight? Dior 19cm, first time wearing them. I'm hoping they'll stretch out some, because they're a little uncomfortable in the thighs.  Just wondering if they look ok.

they do look a bit tight in the ass... perhaps they'll loosen up... otherwise they're cool.

You're a slim guy, so I like the fit on you. Obviously, likely to stretch a bit with wear too.

1.  I have about 8 months of wear on my Momotaro 0701sp's.  Is it time to wash them?  I have plenty of deep fading.  I live in LA, so I'm also considering wearing them into the ocean.... This is my first pair of raw denim, so this part is new to me.

2.  It's also time for a new pair!  As for the cut, I'd like something a bit slimmer and more tapered past the knee than my Momotaros.  I'd like a medium weight denim, and I don't need a fast fader.  Sanfordized is probably a plus, and I'm really a sucker for awesome texture, and lasting super-stiffness (I want to hurt).

What say you, oh styleforum?

Maybe pbj 013 or 011?

Hagg dude they wouldn't look like girls jeans if you would just sag
them a bit. I promise it won't hurt (in fact may even relieve you) if you pull them down below your belly button.

I'm thinking about stepping up to the more expensive Japanese lines, but I'm torn on the direction to go. I have APC new standards and a few different Tellasons now, so I have some experience with raw denim (all sanforized). I'm looking for a slim straight with a lower rise that will produce some strong contrast. Between Self Edge and BIG, there's way too much to choose from. Can anyone recommend a pair that they love with just a quick blurb as to why?

The IH666 looks like a great cut to me, but I've never gone over 14.75oz..

this might be a dumb question but i'm going to ask it anyway....

what do you guys do with your raw denim when traveling?  typically i keep my raw's hung from the belt loop in my closet when they aren't worn.  (not folded to avoid random creases).  i'm going on vacation later this week and want to take my jeans with me but i doubt i'll wear them on the way.  is folding them up for 5-6 hours (maybe a little more) going to create crease lines that might be a pain to get rid of?

I was actually going to recommend the same cuts as the guy before - Pure Blue Japan xx011 or x013 should fit your bill. Denim is ultra slubby and stays stiff for a while. Medium weight. Can't try one brand w/o trying the other nod[1].gif

my only question for you is.

how do you think they shipped the denim to the store?  or to you?

So I have really big thighs and a comparatively small waist. Thighs ~27", waist 32". I want some higher waisted jeans that are roomy in the seat.and thigh. do such things exist?

I'm new to raw denim. I've almost finished breaking in a pair of Japan Blue x Momotaro 0100SP.

The problem I have with them is the pockets are very tight. I reluctantly put my wallet in the back left because the front would be a tight squeeze. My phone (Galaxy Nexus) with its otter box case is hard to shove in while standing and virtually locked in when sitting.

how long have you worn them?

the pockets on all my jeans have always been tight, i tend to use them for nothing but keys. back pockets for everything.

I would look at Imperial Shearers. Selfedge has them usually.

About two weeks around the house. I don't want to wear them in public until I can comfortably carry my phone and use the button fly at a urinal. I'm making progress on the latter at least.
