I believe all I could afford would be somewhere between 75-175

Do you know if they fit true to size? I am a 32 usually, so if I need to size down I could grab the 30s.

Can anyone in the UK recommend good jeans please - Would be willing to pay up to £200-250 per pair and I want 2 indigo pairs and 1 black.

After reading a post from uncontrol in the "Dad Jeans" thread I've decided to invest more and buy less - so looking for some of the best jeans available, can i expect to get that for that price? I'm a 28" waist - 32" leg and would like slim fit idealy.

I actually got it, of course, just worded that part strangely; the "not washing" part I meant I won't wash them afterwards to retain the colour. The "don't like contrasts" was that I'll wash them, because I don't really care for contrasts. Probably an oxymoron, but it makes sense to me.

Still, I'm interested in this. What's a well constructed brand of jeans?

Rag & Bone.

So, I figured I might be returning the six pair I bought and getting less but better quality. I figured this would as good of a place as any to be pointed in the right direction for a good begginner quality jean! Thanks guys biggrin.gif

If you want decent quality in that price range, I would look at Naked & Famous, APC, and 3sixteen to start with. They'll all be on the higher end of your price scale, but they'll be within the budget you listed.

Weighing my options on sub $200 jeans (haven't check denim prices for a year or two and the Japanese repro are hitting close to $300 now so no kop for me)

APC PS
- no leather patch (I know APC is minimalist but ...)
- not chainstitched
- made in macau?
- good fading property

the Momotaro x japan blue
http://needsupply.com/mens/brands/momotaro-jeans-by-japan-blue/skinny-straight-vintage-s.html
- chainstitched (probably doesn't matter, it's 39" inseam and I'll most likely just get regular hem )
- MIJ
- leather patch
- though it's a lower line collab its still a "Momotaro" satisfied.gif

I know it might be just down to personal preference, but which one would you get?

Tough decision. From a construction and denim standpoint, I would definitely go with the Momotaro, but I don't know how their lower line cuts fit, and APC does have great fits.

What's wrong with chainstitching?

So I'm planning on getting my first pair of raw denims at the Mall of America in a few days.  I'd like to spend anywhere between $100-200.

Any thing in particular I should look at first?

there's the directory of stores

Not well-renowned for their durability. The backpocket stitching is rather ostentatious. You may as well get Naked&Famous for the same price.

Do you live in MN? You should know that MOA isn't the right place to get high quality clothes

I'm interested in these Iron Heart Beatle Buster 21 oz Over dyed denimz... anyone have any photos laying around to help me know what they mean that they fade to blue with the black over-dye. Thank you!

Considering going for the Momotaro Grand Indigos -- any opinions of them? Are there other options at that price point (300 and below) one might prefer? I'm looking for something with a more tapered leg opening.
