Uncle Otis for starters. Holt Renfew.

Do you want jeans we would approve and recommend or jeans that fit your budget? BB/Levi's isn't a good buy.

Ok a pass on BB's Levis, I was looking for something that was a little off the beaten path, I'll check out Holts on Bloor St. next weekend and try on some APC and Naked and Famous. I might lean towards N&F because I'm from Montreal originally and I like the company's philosophy behind their product.

I am looking for a very light wash (think w+h bleach wash) jean... well lets just say I am nearly looking for that exact cut (except a 32 w+h had a 34 inch waist).

waist- 32'
slim tapered with thighs larger then 11.5'

Any suggestions?

i'm 5'7", 135 lbs, rather fit.  i recently got into skinny jeans, thanks to a pair of naked and famous' skinny guy black power stretch.  however i've always like versace jeans...well i'm getting a little tired of having to fight with the tailor to get him to make those into skinnies. by any chance does anyone have any suggestions for other brands to get into.  i tend to wear a lot of drivers, typically with button downs, occasionally with a plain white t-shirt, and a belt. oh, i mainly wear dark jeans (predominantly the n&f black jeans and my versace's are all dark denim).

Dior, Somet, PBJ, APC, Flat Head, etc etc.

Do you want raw denim, do you want something that wont fade, whats your price point? The options are endless for a skinny fit dark jean...

thanks a lot, i'll look into those.  i prefer a raw denim as the naked and famous are raw.  i hate the faded denim look, i bought a pair of versace's three years ago and now they are fading and distressed...i think it looks better because it was done naturally.   As N&Fs go for $150 and versace can get up to $900 i will settle for anything within there.  My biggest concern is quality and fit versus price (as long as it's not too ridiculous lol)...

ok, so i tried to quote you but it said something about me being too new and it holding my post...

yes, i do want raw denim...preferably something that won't fade as i hate that distressed look.  my Naked & Famous' go for $140 and my Versace's tend to top out at $900 so anything between there is fine, although i wouldn't turn my nose up to anything closer to the Naked and Famous price.  These are the N&Fs I have (http://www.barneys.com/SkinnyGuy/059387345,default,pd.html?cgid=SKINN02-1#) but i still get them tailored (i have them shortened and the waist brought in a little) mainly because i'm not all that tall and the stacking i think makes me look shorter versus having the more streamlined look.  I also prefer simple styles, i'm not one for a lot of embellishments and designs, which is part of the reason i don't wear my versace jeans as much, although i do love their impressive placards.  i prefer silver hardware to match my jewelry and the hardware on my shoes and clothes.  as i mentioned before i'm a smaller guy...5'7", 135, 29 in waist.  I always heard dior jeans were better suited for taller people, idk, as i've never tried them before.

N&F and APC are just "ok" jeans that were recommended based on your requirements. I suggested you check out stores in your area because you mind wind up with something better.

Super specific and at the wrong time of the season for light wash jeans. Our Legacy, Spurr, and Rag & Bone have done washes like that in the past. Think Billy Reid did, too.

Grey seems to be harder and harder to come by. Naked & Famous and maybe Rag & Bone might be the few available at retail right now. Other brands: Jean Shop, NdG, Unbranded, Spurr, etc. You can take off the details yourself.

It is good that you have a high ceiling on your price limit, because it opens almost everything out there to you as a possibility.

If you want something that won't fade, your best bet is to look at Pure Blue Japan's NC models. Instead of using indigo, which is a dye that fades very easily, like most jeans do, the PBJ NC models use indanthrene, which is a very colorfast dye and won't fade easily if at all. In addition, the NC models come in slim cuts, which I think should look good with your dimensions that you listed.

Other slower fading jeans include Triple Works' Permanent Indigo models, as well as any jean that is hank-dyed in natural indigo, such as Samurai's Ai models, Oni's Shoai, or PBJ's Ai models. Not 100% sure if any of these currently come in slim cuts other than the PBJ, though.

Recommend me a raw slim, straight leg denim please. Tried APC NS and Rescue and do not liked them both.

APC NS: i like low rise of it and how they fit on hips and thigh, but i hate tapering from knee to shoe (would like straight leg from knee down), i hate that back pockets are wide apart also back pockets give a hip flare (would like maybe back pockets to be lower and not so wide apart).

APC RESCUE: like the back pockets, but the rise is to high for my taste. i like wearing jeans on a hip bone (bellow waist) and that way they don't look good with a slim sweater.

I would check out the PBJ XX-005 cut and the Naked & Famous Skinny Guy cut, those are both slim cuts with straight legs below the knees and a lower rise than the APC Rescue. So long as it is within your budget, the SExFHxRR10 might be something you like fit-wise as well.

RRL low straights / slim fits should work, both are straight leg and have relatively lower rises. Somet has a really low rise as well
