I don't think the weight would affect the rate of stinkiness as much as how well the denim breathes would. Heavier weight does not always mean less breatheability, but I am guessing that your RRL denim doesn't breathe quite as well as your N&F denim does.

It probably won't be that effective to try to shrink your N&Fs. Their denim is sanforized, so it won't shrink much, and most of whatever shrinkage you get will stretch back out and beyond the pre-soak size with wear.

If you want to give it a try, fill your bathtub with water as hot as the tap will get and throw your jeans in, weighing them down so that they stay submerged. Let them soak for 30-45 minutes, then take them out and hang dry them.

Anyone know where I can get some Robert Geller "Slim" jeans in size 50 online? I have the Two Year Fade style and I love the fit, so I'm trying to pick up some other ones (for example, this http://www.blackbirdballard.com/Robert_Geller_Raw_Slim_Denim_in_Indigo_17839.html)

If not, what would fit similar to the geller slim fit. Waist/seat fits normal, but there's a serious taper (hem is around 6.8"). N&F Weird Guy and APC PS are OK, but the hems are around ~8" on those and I want smaller. Should I just buy them and get them tapered? Is that hard for a tailor to do?

Anyone have recs for soft, form fitting jeans? I want the opposite of raw - really soft, comfortable, stretchy jeans that look good. Thoughts?

Is there such a thing as jeans that taper from say below the calf to the ankle? There is no way I can fit into anything other than slim straight cuts (like Levis 514 for example) because I have an athletes build (6'4, 200) with large calves; I usually wear low top shoes and I don't like the way the jeans end up stacking, it never looks good (kind of like it just poofs out). Tapering from the knee would never allow me to fit into them because even slim straight cuts are slightly tight in the calf area, so I'm wondering if anyone else has run into something like this and was trying to find some well fitting jeans?

My current daily wearer is a Naked & Famous Slim Guy, but I've never really loved the fit of them.

Yeah I have a similar issue, I've never found any jeans that do this though

Does anyone know anything about the cut on the new Bonobos jeans? Trim? High rise? Low rise? The price is killer: $125 for Cone denim, USA manufacture.

I wanna buy my friend a nice pair of raw denim for Christmas but I'm not sure which sub200 brand I should go with (raleigh/apc/3sixteen/n&f/nudie/etc). He's a bigger guy, not fat, just husky and he's not going to want anything that's going to be uncomfortable (tight crotch syndrome) so what would you guys recommend? What brand gives you the most bang for the buck nowadays?

personally I'd want APC PS for sub 200, but if he doesn't want tight crotch syndrome, maybe N&F weirdguy or APC NS?
I have to agree, APC PS is a great cut but yea he would really like a cut that isn't so tight.

In the price range that you are looking, and for a husky build, I like the APC Rescue the best.

Tellason Ankara

It'll fit better than the NS if he's a bit more built
