Crosspost from the N&F thread:

Also, up to three buttons now! Sitting around most of the day doing schoolwork in hopes that the waist will stretch the extra half inch.

Got my N&FxBJs, wore em around as much as I could with a lovely thunderstorm ruining all outdoor plans for the day. I sized down quite a bit, and to be honest, can only button the bottom-most bottom for the time being. I think the fit overall is spot on, minus my waist/hip area that I'm having trouble squeezing into. Apparently this is pretty normal, as they aren't excessively tight anywhere else. Here's to hoping a few nights of uncomfortable sleep will stretch them out enough to fully button the fly. Here's some -rather awful- fit pics I took. Disregard the filthy mirror.

Notes: I don't plan on washing these for as long as I can possibly stand. This is probably going to be around the 8 month mark, as I'm sure they'll be a helluva lot comfier during the cooler months then they have been lately. Quick question, as well- are they any methods to get perfect looking stacks, or is stacking just a by-product of breaking in the jeans, and letting creases fall on their own? Am I over-analyzing? Pics:

P.S. - I'll try to get better photos up when I'm home.

So, uhmm, still working on that top button, and I've unfortunately learned that tight jeans and lunges do not mix. Not at all. Here's some photos describing my latest predicament. Any suggestions on what can be done? Should I take this to my tailor, and see if it can be resewn, or is it a better alternative to just email N&F about the problem? Is it worth wearing them in this condition? confused.gif

I'm not sure what N&F would do for you. You bought jeans several sizes too small from a company notorious for great fabrics but iffy construction and then decided to work out in them.

I'd only take them to the tailor if it was too late to return them or I thought I'd have a better chance at recouping my money on B&S. I would get rid of them and learn my lesson about sizing down, especially from a company like that.

My girlfriend ended up doing a great job resewing the fly shut, so I'm going to continue wearing them in. All in all, I'm content with the snug fit. I'm still in the process of slimming down, so I bought the jeans with the mindset that they'll be a perfect fit in ten pounds. After doing a more thorough search, I learned that I was overfretting the issue, and if it arises again and my girlfriend is nowhere to be found, it shouldn't cost much to have it repaired at the tailor.

On a different note- those of you who stack heavy, what do you do with your hems when the shoes are off? I refuse to step on the hems, and prefer the look of stacks (albeit only with a 35" inseam, me being 5'9.5"), but I'm worried as to what potential harm I could do to my jeans by constantly rolling/cuffing my jeans whenever I'm indoors, just to undo 'em when my shoes go back on. I did some rather extensive searching to see if I could have this answered, with zero results. :\

You're overthinking it a bit. Just roll them up, they'll be ok. They're new so the stacks haven't formed yet.

I had the same problem too, only it wasn't from lunges but the frequent number of roundhouse kicks I was always unleashing on everybody. They were always blowing out the crotch on my jeans. However, buying these babies solved the problem:

4768491342_14d53e28a9_o.jpg[IMG]Note the exclusive gusset in the crotch which really has allowed me more freedom of movement. I recommend trading in those sub-par Canadian jeans for some of these; and at $19.95 + 2.65 for shipping and handling, the price point is just right. You'll be back to caving in other people's sternums in no time at all, trust me.

I'm about 5'8 and my jeans stack. They don't really drag on the ground since the leg opening on the PS is so slim.

Where can i find raw denim in chicago?
Looking for another pair of jeans and am not sure what to buy. I used to have Acne Maxes which were a little too slim for my tastes and now am considering APC New Standards and N&F Weird Guys. Wondering what other options I have? I'm 5'9", 150 pounds and they'll be for casual wear to compliment a pair of CP's or Vans so I'm looking for some taper but not too much with at least 7.25" leg opening. The 3Sixteen SL-200x looks fairly close, how about the SL-100x or ST-100x?
